Google Pixel COLOR MAGIC STUDIO with にじさんじ was a Japan-only promotional photo event that ran from March 1 through March 31, 2024. It is no longer open, so the old “reserve your spot” wording is archival. The event combined Nijisanji-themed color sets and acrylic standees with Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro photography and Magic Editor demonstrations at Space 6142 in Tokyo.

What Color Magic Studio was
This was a temporary Google Pixel and Nijisanji photo studio, not a permanent venue, merchandise shop, or meet-and-greet. Visitors photographed themselves with event-exclusive acrylic standees representing nine Nijisanji talents in newly photographed outfits. The sets used character-associated colors, and visitors could edit their pictures with Google’s 編集マジック (Magic Editor) before downloading the finished files through a QR code.

The two experiences
1F: COLOR MAGIC WALL
The first floor was an open studio with several colored walls. After reserving a color, visitors posed with its corresponding acrylic standee while staff took the initial photograph using a Google Pixel supplied at the venue. Visitors could then make their own edits and download the result by QR code.
Because this was an open, staff-assisted area, it suited visitors who wanted a straightforward photo stop. The first floor also displayed Pixel 8 Pro devices and the event’s limited standees.
2F/3F: COLOR MAGIC ROOM
The upper floors contained private, color-themed rooms. Visitors reserved a room or color, photographed themselves with the installed standee, used the provided Pixel experience to edit the images, and downloaded the results by QR code. Props were available for a more interactive session.

The rooms offered more privacy and control over posing than the wall area, while the wall provided staff assistance and a more open setting.

This comparison reflects the formats described in the official event announcement, rather than a firsthand review.
How a visit worked
- Reserve the relevant floor or experience; reservations were handled separately.
- Select the available color wall or themed room associated with a participating talent.
- Take a picture with the event acrylic standee. Staff handled photography on 1F; visitors took their own pictures in the private rooms.
- Use the supplied Pixel experience and Magic Editor to adjust the image.
- Scan the provided QR code to download the edited photo.
Did you need to own a Pixel 8?
No ownership requirement appears in the official announcement. The studio supplied or installed Google Pixel devices for the photography and editing workflow: staff used a venue Pixel on 1F, while the upper-floor rooms provided the Pixel experience for visitor-controlled photography.
The announcement describes the devices and process but does not establish every possible admission condition, such as age, identity, or reservation-account rules. It also does not mean Magic Editor works identically on every Pixel model today; feature availability can vary by model, software, account, and region.

ANYCOLOR’s announcement confirms nine Nijisanji talents. It said the individual color and room concepts would be announced through the talents’ or units’ social accounts. The accessible announcement does not provide a complete, clearly formatted nine-person roster, so it is safer not to publish an unverified full list. Archival material identifies examples including ChroNoiR (Kanae and Kuzuha), Sara Hoshikawa, Lauren Iroas, and Usami Rito; see the archival Nijisanji event listing for historical references.
What could visitors bring?
The historical venue guidance allowed official goods associated with the nine participating talents and discouraged other goods. That was a rule for this temporary event, not a general Nijisanji policy.

The event-exclusive acrylic standees were not sold. They were display items used in the photo sets, so the experience did not provide a way to purchase the standees afterward.
Was there a live Nijisanji appearance?
No. The photo opportunity was with acrylic standees, not the talents in person. A separate opening livestream featuring ChroNoiR (Kanae and Kuzuha) was scheduled for February 29, 2024, at 20:00 on the ChroNoiR YouTube channel. That broadcast is also historical.
Reservations and access information, archived
The original Google Store Japan booking page was https://store.google.com/intl/ja/ideas/google-pixel-color-magic-studio. It should be treated as a historical reference, not a current booking workflow. The event’s Tokyo address and 11:00–19:00 operating hours applied only during March 2024.

Can fans recreate the idea now?
You cannot attend the original studio in 2026, but you can reproduce parts of the concept unofficially:
- Set up a colored backdrop and lighting at home with licensed Nijisanji merchandise.
- Use a smartphone with portrait, object-removal, or comparable editing tools.
- Follow current Nijisanji and ANYCOLOR announcements for future licensed collaborations.
- Keep fan-made recreations distinct from official Google/Nijisanji events; they will not have the original venue, standees, or promotional rights.
Buying a Pixel 8 solely to gain access is not useful because the event has ended, and the historical announcement does not establish any ownership requirement.
