What is the Pixel 11, and how much does it cost?
Google announced the Pixel 11 on August 12, 2026, with US retail availability beginning August 20. Its August 25 update said the four-phone Pixel 11 range was on shelves. The standard Pixel 11 launched at $899 in the US for 256GB; Google also lists a 512GB configuration, but the materials available here do not establish its price. Google’s US product page may display a promotional from-price after an eligible trade-in, so check the live offer and conditions rather than treating it as the regular price. These are US launch starting prices, not a claim about current discounts or every storage configuration. What do you get for the money?
Display and design
Google lists a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display at 1080 × 2424 resolution, 422 pixels per inch and a 60–120Hz refresh rate. Its specifications say brightness reaches up to 2,000 nits for HDR and 3,000 nits peak; Google notes that the peak figure is measured at a 5% on-pixel ratio. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent brightness readings.

The phone measures 6 × 2.8 × 0.3 inches and weighs 6.9 ounces. Google lists Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front, a polished back and an aluminum frame. Its IP68 rating indicates dust and water resistance under specified conditions; Google cautions that resistance is not permanent and the phone is not drop-proof. Processor, memory and storage
The Pixel 11 uses Google’s Tensor G6 processor and Titan M3 security coprocessor, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. Google says Tensor G6 delivers 25% faster web browsing and 15% quicker app launches than Tensor G5, based on its internal pre-production data. Google also claims 50% more TPU compute and says on-device AI tasks can run up to 3.5 times faster while using up to 3.5 times less energy than on Tensor G5. Software and AI features
The phone launched with Android 17. Google promotes Gemini Intelligence and features including Magic Capture, Rambler voice transcription and HiLight. Feature availability can vary by location and language, so confirm that the specific tools you want are available where you live and in your preferred language. How good is the Pixel 11 camera?
On the hardware list, the Pixel 11 has a 48MP wide camera with Macro Focus, a 13MP ultrawide and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5× optical reach; Google lists Super Zoom up to 30×. That makes the standard phone more versatile than a two-camera setup on paper, particularly for distant subjects. It does not tell you how sharp or consistent its photos and video are in real use.

Google says the new main sensor has 56% more light sensitivity than the Pixel 10 and that Night Sight captures up to 4.5 times faster. The launch material notes that some comparisons rely on internal or pre-production testing. Treat these as Google’s claims, not independently verified results. The evidence available here does not include camera samples or testing across daylight, low light, zoom and video, so it cannot settle how the Pixel 11 compares with competing phones. How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?
Google lists a 4,985mAh typical battery capacity and rates battery life at “30+ hours.” That is a manufacturer estimate, not an independently measured runtime; actual endurance depends on use and conditions, and no independent battery test is established here.

Google says the phone can charge to 55% in about 30 minutes when using a 30W USB-C PPS charger or higher. The wired adapter is sold separately. For wireless charging, Google lists Qi2.2-certified Pixelsnap charging at up to 25W. Google promises seven years of operating-system, security and Pixel Drop updates. For buyers who keep a phone for years, that is a substantial part of the value proposition: it gives a clear support commitment beyond the launch software. Pixel 11 or Pixel 11 Pro: which should you choose?
The standard Pixel 11 is the lower-priced choice in Google’s non-folding range. Google’s launch materials list the Pro at $1,099 and Pro XL at $1,299, compared with $899 for the standard model, with 256GB base storage across those three phones. The Pro Fold is a separate foldable at a $1,899 US starting price. Google’s materials cited here do not provide a complete standard-versus-Pro hardware comparison, so they are not enough to verify the Pro models’ exact display, camera or other advantages. Consult the individual model specifications before paying the premium.
- Choose the standard Pixel 11 if its 6.3-inch size, listed three-camera system and 256GB base configuration suit you, and you would rather keep the launch-price difference.
- Consider a Pro model if you specifically want a larger form factor or Pro-specific camera or display hardware—but confirm the exact differences on Google’s model specification pages before deciding.
- Consider the Pro Fold only if a foldable design is the feature you want; its price and form factor make it a different proposition from the standard phone.

What should you check before buying?
- Compare the live US price with the $899 launch starting price, and read the eligibility and trade-in terms for any advertised offer.
- Choose 256GB or 512GB deliberately; the available materials establish both options but not the 512GB price.
- If buying wired charging equipment, look for a 30W USB-C PPS charger or higher. Google sells the adapter separately.
- For wireless charging at the listed maximum, confirm the charger is Qi2.2-certified and supports the required output.
- Check local and language availability for Gemini Intelligence, Magic Capture, Rambler and HiLight before relying on any one feature.
- If protection matters, verify that a case explicitly fits Pixel 11. IP68 does not mean drop-proof, and water resistance can diminish over time.

Verdict: is the Pixel 11 worth buying?
The Pixel 11 is a plausible smart buy for someone who wants a compact-by-current-standards Android phone, long Google software support and a dedicated telephoto camera without paying the non-folding Pro launch price. Its $899 US launch price is substantial, and the evidence here cannot confirm real-world camera quality, battery endurance, display performance or sustained speed against alternatives. Check current pricing and independent testing of the areas you care about before committing; the official specifications alone are not enough to call it the best phone at its price.
