The Google Pixel 10a is smaller and lighter, supports Qi wireless charging and comes with Google’s stated seven-year OS, security and Pixel Drop update commitment. Which is the better buy depends on whether screen and battery size or long-term software support matter more to you.
Price comparisons need a date and storage variant: Google’s India launch price was ₹49,999, while vivo’s 8GB+128GB model was listed for ₹41,999 on its official e-store on 7 October 2026. Those snapshots produce an ₹8,000 difference, but they are not a like-for-like live offer comparison.

India price difference: why the date and variant matter
Google announced the Pixel 10a at ₹49,999, with India availability starting 6 March 2026. Its announcement was dated 18 February 2026. Google’s India launch announcement named the Google Store, Flipkart and major retailers.
vivo’s 21 April 2026 launch release listed these T5 Pro 5G prices:

Using Google’s published launch price and vivo’s observed 8GB+128GB store price gives a difference of ₹8,000. Using the two phones’ launch prices for the same vivo variant gives ₹20,000. These calculations mix different price snapshots or compare launch prices, respectively; neither is a definitive current price gap. Check the live price for the exact storage tier, seller and applicable offers before buying. Which phone makes more sense for your priorities?
Choose the vivo for a larger display and battery capacity
The T5 Pro’s 6.83-inch screen is larger than the Pixel’s 6.3-inch display, and its listed refresh rate reaches 144Hz rather than the Pixel’s 60–120Hz range. Its 9,020mAh battery capacity is also substantially higher than the Pixel’s 5,100mAh typical capacity. Those figures make vivo the stronger on-paper fit if you want a large screen, high listed refresh rate and high battery capacity. They do not by themselves establish real-world battery hours or performance.
Choose the Pixel for a lighter, more compact phone and documented support duration
At 183g, the Pixel is 30g lighter than the 213g vivo on the published specifications, and its 6.3-inch screen is the smaller option. Google explicitly specifies seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates. The vivo pages reviewed list OriginOS 6.0 but do not state a comparable update-duration commitment; that omission is not proof that vivo has no support policy.

Charging depends on the setup you want
vivo lists 90W wired FlashCharge, with a launch-release claim of up to 50% in 37 minutes under its stated conditions. Google specifies Qi-certified wireless charging and says the Pixel can reach up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately. The advertised figures are not directly comparable charging tests. vivo’s official store lists a charger, phone case, protective film and eject tool in the box; Google says the charger used for its stated fast-charge benchmark is sold separately.
Do not decide camera quality from megapixels alone
The camera systems differ: Google lists a 13MP ultrawide camera, while vivo’s e-store lists a 2MP bokeh auxiliary camera and a 32MP front camera. The manufacturers also describe computational and zoom features, but these specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos. For a camera-led decision, compare independent same-scene samples for daylight, low light, moving subjects, video and selfies.

How to compare the final offers fairly
- Match the storage tier. Compare the same capacity where possible; the vivo launch prices vary by RAM and storage configuration.
- Use current prices from the same buying window. Account for seller, bank or exchange offers, warranty and stock, and distinguish discounts from launch prices.
- Compare the features you will notice daily. The vivo is larger and lists a higher refresh rate; the Pixel is lighter and has the smaller screen.
- Look for independent tests for real-world claims. Battery capacity, advertised playback time, charging wattage and camera resolution do not substitute for controlled endurance, charging or image comparisons.
- Check the exact regional model. In particular, verify the T5 Pro SKU and its durability claims before relying on the IP ratings.
