There is not enough reliable information to name a winner yet. Google announced the Pixel 10a at ₹49,999 for the 8GB/256GB model, but that is its launch price, not a confirmed current offer. More importantly, sources disagree on whether the OPPO Reno 15 is available in India and on its specifications. Confirm the exact Reno 15 India model, price and configuration before treating this as a like-for-like sub-₹50,000 choice.
Price and India availability: the Reno 15 comparison is unresolved
Google announced the Pixel 10a at ₹49,999 in India, with sales scheduled to begin on March 6, 2026 through the Google Store, Flipkart and major retailers. That figure is the announced launch price; it does not establish the phone’s live price today. Google’s current specifications page lists 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Google’s India announcement and the Google Store specifications are the primary references for those details.

The Reno 15’s India status is less clear. 91mobiles reports an 8GB/256GB version at ₹45,999 and says it is on sale; Gadgets 360 labels the phone not launched in India. These claims cannot both describe the same current retail situation. Check OPPO India’s official listing and the seller’s exact model number before comparing prices or buying. The secondary listings are 91mobiles’ comparison and Gadgets 360’s comparison.

What to verify before you treat either price as a deal
- Confirm the exact India-market model and RAM/storage configuration, not just the Reno 15 family name.
- Check that the listed price is current, that the phone is actually in stock, and that the seller is offering an India unit with local warranty.
- Compare equivalent storage configurations. A launch price, database listing or older offer is not proof of today’s checkout price.
What is established about the Pixel 10a
Display and handling
Google describes the Pixel 10a as having a 6.3-inch display. The 91mobiles comparison gives the Pixel panel as 6.32 inches, but its Reno figure differs from Gadgets 360’s listing. Until the exact Reno SKU is confirmed, those secondary figures do not establish a reliable size or resolution advantage. If a compact phone matters to you, the Pixel’s official 6.3-inch description is a firmer starting point than the disputed Reno dimensions.
#1 Best Overall
- Google Pixel 10a is a durable, everyday phone with more[1]; snap brilliant photography on a simple, powerful camera, get 30+ hours out of a full charge[2], and do more with helpful AI like Gemini[3]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Pixel 10a is sleek and durable, with a super smooth finish, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display, and IP68 water and dust protection[4]
- The Actua display with 3,000-nit peak brightness shows up clear as day, even in direct sunlight[5]
- Plan, create, and get more done with help from Gemini, your built-in AI assistant[3]; have it screen spam calls while you focus[6]; chat with Gemini to brainstorm your meal plan[7], or bring your ideas to life with Nano Banana[8]
Camera hardware and performance
Google specifies a 48MP wide rear camera and a 13MP ultrawide, along with its Tensor G4 processor. Those specifications describe hardware, not comparative photo quality or sustained performance. The Reno listings disagree about its camera setup, and the available material does not provide a matched camera, benchmark or sustained-load test for either phone. Megapixel counts alone cannot settle which takes better pictures.
Battery, charging and wireless charging
Google lists the Pixel 10a battery as 5,100mAh typical capacity (5,000mAh minimum) and supports Qi-certified wireless charging. Google’s claim of charging up to 50% in about 30 minutes requires a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately; it is a stated charging condition, not a comparative charging test. Google also advertises more than 30 hours of battery life, but that vendor claim is not evidence that it lasts longer than the Reno 15.

Software support and durability caveats
Google promises seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drops updates, measured from the Pixel 10a’s first availability on the Google Store in the US. That start-point qualification matters when comparing support periods. No comparable Reno 15 support-duration policy is established in the available sources, so a longevity advantage over OPPO cannot be quantified here.
Google says the Pixel 10a’s design complies with IP68, while cautioning that water and dust resistance is not permanent, can diminish over time, and does not make liquid damage covered by warranty. Treat the rating as a protection specification, not a reason to expose the phone to water.

What the conflicting Reno 15 listings do—and do not—tell you
The two comparison sources provide incompatible descriptions rather than one dependable India specification sheet. Their differences are material to a buying decision:
| Detail | 91mobiles listing | Gadgets 360 listing |
|---|---|---|
| India availability and price | Reports an 8GB/256GB model at ₹45,999 and says it is on sale. | Labels the Reno 15 not launched in India; does not establish a matching current retail offer. |
| Display | Lists a 6.59-inch, 1.5K, 120Hz panel. | Lists a 6.32-inch, 1216 × 2640 display. |
| Battery and charging | Lists 6,500mAh and 80W charging. | Lists 6,200mAh and 80W charging. |
| Processor | The comparison information does not settle the chipset. | Lists MediaTek Dimensity 8450. |
| Rear cameras | The available comparison information conflicts with the other listing and does not establish a verified India setup. | Lists a different rear-camera setup; the exact India variant is not confirmed. |
| Software | A Reno 15 support-duration commitment is not established. | Labels the phone Android 16 with ColorOS 16; no support-duration policy is established. |
These are claims reported by the linked comparison listings, not confirmed specifications for a verified India SKU. In particular, a reported battery capacity is not a runtime result. Do not use this table to assume the phone you can buy has those components; get the model number and official OPPO specification sheet first.

Choose the Pixel 10a if its known strengths match your priorities
- You want a compact phone and prefer the confirmed 6.3-inch Pixel display description.
- You value Google’s stated seven-year update commitment, with its US Google Store availability start point.
- You want a known camera configuration—48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide—and Tensor G4 rather than buying against an uncertain Reno specification sheet.
- Qi wireless charging matters, and you are comfortable buying a compatible PPS charger separately if you want Google’s stated fast-charge result.
Consider the Reno 15 only after confirming the India model
The secondary listings suggest a possibility of a larger display, higher listed battery capacity and 80W charging, but they disagree on key specifications and India availability. If OPPO confirms a model whose official specs and current price fit your needs, those may be relevant reasons to consider it. Do not treat the reported battery figures as proof of longer real-world battery life, or the listed camera hardware as proof of better photos.

How to make the comparison fair
- Find the Reno 15’s exact India model number on OPPO India’s official product or support page.
- Match that model number to the retailer listing, checking RAM, storage, warranty and current in-stock price.
- Compare official display, camera, battery, charging and software-support details for that exact model against Google’s Pixel 10a specifications.
- If camera quality, gaming speed or battery endurance will decide your purchase, look for independent tests that compare both exact retail variants under the same conditions. The available comparison listings are spec-based, not matched tests.
