Google has not announced the Fitbit Edge. Everything below comes from leaks. The reports describe a compact fitness tracker with an oval AMOLED display, built-in GPS and a reported price of €179 in Europe and £159 in the UK. A launch date and retail availability are unconfirmed, and no US price has been reported.
What the Fitbit Edge reportedly looks like
Spanish outlet Cinco Días (El País), on October 5, 2026, described leaked imagery of the device. It reports:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- A rounded, pill-shaped or oval screen.
- Two elongated metal strips along the sides.
- A quick-release system on the back for swapping bands.
- Three colors: Obsidian (black), Olive (green) and Canyon (orange).
These are descriptions of leaked images. Google has not confirmed them.

Reported price
The leak lists €179 in the Eurozone and £159 in the UK. 9to5Google attributes both to Dealabs. It also suggests the US price could be around $180, but that is the outlet’s inference from the European and UK figures. Don’t treat it as a confirmed US price. Regional pricing often differs once tax and currency are factored in.

Where it might fit in Google’s lineup
Coverage frames the Edge as a possible successor to the Fitbit Charge 6. It would sit between the screenless Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch. These are editorial comparisons, not an announced strategy. Google introduced Fitbit Air on May 7, 2026 as a screenless wearable. That announcement says nothing about the Edge.
If you’re deciding between devices, compare form factor and screen, fitness features, battery life, phone compatibility, price and availability. For the Edge, every one of those values is still provisional.
Rank #3

- See your heart rate in real time: Just link your Charge 6 to compatible exercise machines, like treadmills, ellipticals, and more[2]; and stay connected with YouTube Music controls[3]
- Tune into your body: Track your response to stress with a stress management score; learn about the quality of your sleep with a personalized nightly Sleep Score; and wake up more naturally with the Smart Wake alarm
- Run your routine with Google essentials: Find your way seamlessly during runs or rides with turn-by-turn directions from Google Maps on Fitbit Charge 6; and when you need a snack break on the go, just tap to pay with Google Wallet[1,4]
- Unlock more with Google Health Premium: With a premium membership, get personalized coaching that’s built with Gemini and adapts to your life[7]; get a 3-month trial at no cost to you[5] (Google Health Premium subscription sold separately)
Launch timing and what’s still unknown
- Launch date: 9to5Google says it remains unknown. Any suggestion of an October launch is speculation.
- Availability: no retail listings or regional rollout have been confirmed.
- Name and specs: the final name, specifications and pricing could differ from the leaks.
- Accessories: the reports don’t establish which bands or chargers would be compatible, beyond the quick-release design.
- Official statements: no Google statement about the Edge was found.
The Bottom Line
The leaks point to an affordable, iPhone-compatible tracker with GPS, ECG and a week of battery with the always-on display off. Wait for Google’s announcement before buying or planning around any of it.
