CEO Joe Purzycki said the company plans to use the capital to expand its programming, talent roster and live experiences; those are stated ambitions, not a list of completed launches.
Who invested in Pro Shop?
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Arthur Blank’s family office led the $24 million financing. Causeway Partners and Ares Capital also participated. PGA of America and Powerhouse Capital were among the returning investors named in the report.

Purzycki called the round “a very positive signal for what we’re building here and what we kind of set out to achieve.” The amount and investor details are reported by The Hollywood Reporter; the company’s own LinkedIn profile also describes the Series B, but the available company post does not supply a financing breakdown.

Purzycki described a plan to build on the company’s existing franchises, grow its talent base and expand programming. The report also says Pro Shop is considering more live golf programming and in-person experiences for fans. It does not announce specific new shows, events, launch dates or budget allocations.

Co-founder Chad Mumm summed up the company’s broader view of golf: “Golf is experiential, but it’s also a lifestyle.” Purzycki said, “We think the best way to build brands is to bring communities together around these media tentpoles and franchises.” These comments describe the company’s strategy; they do not confirm particular events or partnerships.
What Pro Shop does
Founded in 2023 by Purzycki and Mumm, Pro Shop describes itself as a media and commerce company. The Hollywood Reporter says the company raised $20 million in 2024 and acquired the PGA Tour’s digital and social media brand Skratch in that deal.

The company has launched a dedicated studio and produces Netflix’s Full Swing. The Hollywood Reporter identifies Happy Gilmore 2 as the studio’s first co-production. These projects sit alongside the company’s stated aim of connecting golf content, talent and fan communities.
How commerce fits into the business
Pro Shop’s company profile lists Sugarloaf Social Club among its portfolio, and a company post references a Sugarloaf golf polo. That supports describing golf apparel as part of the company’s commerce context; it does not establish a specific Amazon listing, endorsement or affiliate relationship.

In a company LinkedIn post, Pro Shop also claimed its platform reaches more than 35 million unique users and that revenue doubled year over year. The post does not explain the audience-measurement method or period, or provide details that would make the revenue figure independently comparable. Those figures are company claims, not independently verified metrics.

Its prior acquisition of Skratch, studio work on Full Swing and first co-production, Happy Gilmore 2, show the range of activities described in the reporting.
