How to read this Gods & Demons tier list
The ordering below follows Pocket Gamer’s published list. Tiers reflect that publication’s judgment; no win rates, sample sizes, or other measured performance data are given. A hero’s practical value can depend on team synergy, role, game mode, availability, and the duplicates needed for ascension, so use the tiers as a starting point rather than a universal build order.

The source list has naming inconsistencies, including two entries paired with “Sutton” and one without a hero subtitle. These names are reproduced as published rather than silently corrected; check them against an accessible in-game roster if you need to identify a specific hero.

Why Orpheus, Ostara, and Grox stand out
Pocket Gamer’s descriptions explain the roles behind three headline picks. They are qualitative evaluations from the guide’s author, not independently tested results.
Orpheus: area damage
The guide describes Orpheus as an area-of-effect damage dealer whose power increases at HP thresholds reported as 50%, then 60%, then 70% as the relevant ability levels up. Those thresholds are ability details, not evidence of a particular win rate or overall damage ranking.
Ostara: healing and team support
Pocket Gamer calls Ostara its best healer, pointing to healing, damage mitigation, and allied Attack and Critical buffs. It also notes effects that trigger on her death, making her value extend beyond straightforward healing.

Grox: durable tanking
The guide presents Grox as a tank who can taunt, curse enemies so they take additional damage later, and revive once per battle. That combination may suit teams that need a durable front line, though the tier list does not quantify how he performs against other tanks.
Other heroes to consider by role
A lower tier label does not by itself mean a hero cannot fill a useful team need. Pocket Gamer highlights several options for particular roles and situations:
- Revival and healing: Seraphel can revive fallen allies and heal. Liana provides healing and buffs, can resist crowd control, dispel debuffs, and—at skill level 3 according to the guide—reflect damage. Luna is described as an early-to-mid-game Legendary healer with regeneration and debuff dispelling.
- Area damage and control: Freni deals area-of-effect magic damage and can Silence enemies who are bleeding.
- Story-mode damage: Ella’s area-of-effect true damage is singled out as useful in story mode.
- Follow-up attacks: Rein can make extra attacks, which may work well alongside allies that hit often.
Choosing who is worth building
Use the ranking alongside your roster and goal. The guide notes that many Mythic heroes can work with decent team synergy, while Mythic duplicates may be difficult to obtain and duplicates help with ascension. It also says Rebirth resets an upgraded hero to level 1, so account for that reset before committing resources.

- Identify the gap: Decide whether your team needs damage, healing, revival, control, or a durable tank, and favor a hero who fills that role.
- Check synergy and mode: Consider how a hero’s effects interact with the rest of your team and whether you are building for Arena, story mode, or another goal. The guide’s examples show that role-specific usefulness can matter more than tier alone.
- Weigh investment realistically: Consider the hero’s availability and whether you can obtain the duplicates needed for ascension. A high-tier Mythic that you cannot develop may be a less practical investment than a compatible hero already in your roster.
- Plan around Rebirth: Because Rebirth resets an upgraded hero to level 1, understand that consequence before using it as a way to change your investment plan.
How this ranking compares with an earlier list
Breakflip’s January 15, 2025 list also placed Orpheus, Ostara, and Grox in its top tier, but labeled it S rather than S+. It put Valdedio, Seraphel, Lereil, Throxis, Rein, and Testra in A. The overlap on three heroes is a point of editorial agreement, not proof of a balance change: the lists were published at different times and use different tier structures. Breakflip describes its own ranking as subjective and a starting point for team creation.

Pocket Gamer’s Gods & Demons tier list was updated October 5, 2026 and identifies version 3.0.10. Its page says: “Since the game has been removed from both App Store and Play Store, we won’t keep updating this tier list anymore.” That statement describes the page’s status at publication, not guaranteed present-day store availability in every region. The earlier comparison is Breakflip’s January 15, 2025 Gods & Demons tier list.
