The Glorious GMMK Eternal is a wired 96% mechanical keyboard: it keeps a number pad and function row in a smaller footprint than a conventional full-size layout. It may suit a desk where number entry matters but space is tight; “fits anywhere” is not literal, and Glorious’s promise of a deeper, satisfying sound is a design claim rather than an independently verified result.
What is the GMMK Eternal’s layout, and how much desk space does it need?
The GMMK Eternal’s 96% layout retains the function row and number pad while arranging keys more compactly than a conventional full-size board. Glorious’s guide lists dimensions of 372 × 122 × 44 mm (14.6 × 4.8 × 1.7 inches). That can leave more room for a mouse than a wider full-size keyboard, but whether it fits depends on your desk and other gear.

Glorious describes the design as “a space-saving 96% layout with every key intact.” That is the manufacturer’s description; anyone relying on a particular key or spacing should check the layout image and measurements before buying.

Glorious says the keyboard uses triple-layer sound dampening: molded silicone and two PU foam layers around the PCB. The company says the construction is intended to create a deeper, more satisfying sound. That describes the design goal, not a measured acoustic result.

What switches and keycaps does it use?
The board ships with Glorious Fox linear switches, which Glorious rates for 50 million presses. It supports hot-swappable 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, so you can replace compatible switches without soldering. Check socket and switch compatibility before purchasing replacements.

Glorious lists Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.11 or later for the keyboard, and its product page also lists Chrome and consoles as compatible. Software support is narrower: Glorious CORE is Windows-only, so Mac users should distinguish basic keyboard compatibility from access to CORE’s configuration features.

What can you configure in Glorious CORE?
Glorious’s changelog says CORE version 2.1.21 added GMMK Eternal 96% support on September 8, 2026. The same changelog listed work in progress for a num-lock indicator issue and a key-binding display issue. That entry documents software support and outstanding work at that point; it does not establish the keyboard’s current behavior on every system or subsequent software version.

The product guide states a two-year warranty, with an additional year available for eligible product registration within 365 days of purchase. It also says damage from opening the keyboard is not covered, so review the warranty terms before modifying the board.
