The best-documented model is the Gigatent Classic 10′ × 10′ Canopy Blue (model GT 008). Its manufacturer listing gives a 100 sq ft footprint, a 54 lb pack weight and an adjustable height of up to 130 inches. The same page also lists a 72″–82″ interior and eave height that does not match that headline, and the product page showed the item as out of stock when checked in 2026. The sections below separate what Gigatent states, what those numbers mean in practice, and what you should confirm before buying.
The GT 008 specifications at a glance
Every figure below comes from Gigatent’s own product page for the GT 008, accessed in 2026. None of them has been independently tested, and the publication year of the page is not stated.

What the coverage and height numbers mean
Coverage: 100 square feet
A 10′ × 10′ footprint gives 100 sq ft of floor area. That is enough for a small picnic table and a few chairs, or a compact vendor or camp setup. It is not a party-tent footprint. Measure the space you plan to use, then add room for guy lines and walking around the edges, because the canopy’s roof is only part of the ground it occupies.
Height: the 130-inch figure needs confirmation
The headline on the GT 008 page says the height adjusts up to 130 inches, which is roughly 10 feet 10 inches. The technical fields on the same page list interior and eave height as 72″–82″. The two figures describe different measurements, and the page does not explain how they relate. Before you rely on the maximum, ask Gigatent to confirm the usable clearance at the highest setting and the setup configuration it was measured in. Until you have that answer, plan around the lower 72″–82″ range if you need headroom at the edges.

Frame and roof materials
Powder-coated steel is a common choice for folding frames because the coating resists surface rust better than bare metal. The listing does not state the steel gauge, joint design, or load rating, so you cannot judge structural strength from the page alone. The 190T polyester taffeta roof with a 1000 mm coating is a standard way of describing a water-resistant fabric, but the listing does not say how the roof performs in sustained rain or heavy wind.
Transport: the 54 lb pack
At 54 lb packed into an 8″ × 8″ × 57″ bundle, the GT 008 is a two-person carry for most adults. The long, narrow shape means it fits along a vehicle floor or in a cargo area more easily than it fits in a trunk. If you plan to carry it on foot, the weight and length matter more than the packed volume, so test the route before you rely on it.

Setup claims
Gigatent describes setup and takedown as easy and says setup takes less than 10 minutes. That is the company’s statement. No independent timing test was located, and the page does not say how many people were used or whether the timing assumes an experienced builder. Expect a first setup to take longer, and count the stakes and carry bag before you leave home.
Wind, rain and anchoring
What Gigatent’s Party Tent Deluxe manual says
Gigatent’s owner’s manual for the Party Tent Deluxe (models GT005 / GT005W) states: “The canopy is very susceptible to damage from high winds and every precaution should be taken to prevent damage to the canopy and frame.” The same manual warns that heavy rain can damage the canopy if water collects on the top. This is a different model. Use it as general caution from the same manufacturer, and follow the instructions supplied with your own canopy for wind and rain limits.

Anchoring options
The Party Tent Deluxe manual says weights such as sandbags or bricks can be used in place of stakes on hard surfaces where stakes cannot be driven. Do not assume the GT 008 instructions say the same. Confirm the anchoring method with the GT 008 instructions or with Gigatent before you use weights, and check that the weights you choose do not exceed the canopy’s stated limits.
Other Gigatent canopies
Gigatent’s official shop also lists a 20′ × 10′ pop-up canopy, which its shop page gives as 200 sq ft (page accessed in 2026; publication year not stated). The shop result does not provide the same set of specifications as the GT 008 page, so it cannot be ranked against the 10′ × 10′ model on frame, height, weight or wind rating. Open that model’s own listing and compare the same fields listed in the table above before deciding between them.

Availability and where to buy
The GT 008 product page says the item is out of stock. A Home Depot category result names GT008, but that listing does not establish that the canopy is currently for sale. Do not treat either result as a live price or an offer. If you search for a retailer listing, use “GigaTent 10×10 canopy” and confirm that the listing’s model number matches GT 008 before you buy, because similarly named canopies differ in size and configuration. Gigatent’s shop can help with product questions, but its listings do not state whether replacement parts are in stock.

Company background
Gigatent’s About page says the company was founded in 2006 and that its range has expanded to canopies, party tents, screen houses, sunshades, shower enclosures and gazebos. The page is the company’s own account. It shows how long the brand has been in business, but it does not show how its canopies perform.

Checklist before you buy a Gigatent canopy
- Confirm the exact model number and whether it is in stock.
- Ask Gigatent to confirm usable clearance at the highest height setting.
- Measure your site, including room for guy lines and walking space.
- Check whether the pack weight is manageable for the people who will carry it.
- Read the owner’s instructions for your model, especially the wind, rain and anchoring sections.
- Plan your anchoring method, whether stakes or weights, before the day you need the canopy.
Independent durability testing of Gigatent canopies was not found. Treat the “excellent” label as marketing until you have seen the canopy’s own instructions and have tested it on your site.
