The GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY 16G is a factory-overclocked RTX 5080 with a large 330 mm cooler, a 16-pin power connection and a recommended 850 W power supply. Reviews report strong 4K results and peak GPU temperatures of 78–79.1°C, but those figures come from different test setups and do not establish an advantage over other RTX 5080 cards. Whether it is worth buying depends on local price, case clearance and your tolerance for the card’s power and acoustic behavior.
What is the AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY 16G?
This is GIGABYTE’s specific RTX 5080 board-partner card, model GV-N5080AORUS IF-16GD—not a general review of every RTX 5080. GIGABYTE lists a 2805 MHz core clock, compared with a 2617 MHz reference clock, 10,752 CUDA cores, 16 GB of GDDR7 memory on a 256-bit bus, and a PCIe 5.0 interface. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured performance results. GIGABYTE specifications.

How does it perform in 4K games?
Technopat’s 2026 review reports 87 average FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 3840 × 2160 with Ultra ray tracing, DLSS Auto and frame generation off. With frame generation enabled, the same reported test configuration reached 239 average FPS. Keep those results separate: generated frames increase the displayed frame rate but are not equivalent to frames rendered natively by the GPU. Technopat’s review.

The available figures do not provide a matched comparison against other RTX 5080 models. A fair ranking would require the same game version, settings, platform, drivers and test procedure for each card.

What do the temperature, power and noise tests show?
The published reviews report different measurements under different test conditions. They should be read as separate lab results, not merged into one universal operating profile.
| Publication and test | Reported result | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Technopat, FurMark | 78.5°C average and 79.1°C maximum; 361 W maximum power | A stress-test result from Technopat’s setup, not a typical gaming reading. |
| Techolay, game testing | 73.4°C highest average GPU temperature and 78°C peak | Game-test figures from a separate review and setup. |
| Techolay, Alan Wake 2 | 379.5 W maximum power with DLSS and frame generation disabled | A maximum reported for that specific game scenario, not a constant draw. |
| Techolay, acoustic measurements | 47 dB close to an open case; 37 dB at normal user distance | Measurement positions reported by Techolay; do not compare directly with another publication’s readings. |
Sources: Technopat and Techolay, both published in September 2026. The available result summaries do not establish identical test platforms or measurement methods, so the small differences between results should not be treated as a direct comparison.

Will it fit your case and power supply?
Check dimensions and cable clearance before buying. GIGABYTE lists the card at 330 × 145 × 65 mm, so it is a long, thick design that may occupy substantial case space. Measure the usable GPU clearance in your case and account for the room needed to route and bend the power cable; listed card dimensions alone do not guarantee a comfortable fit.

- Power connector: The card uses one 16-pin connector. GIGABYTE lists a 12V-2×6-to-three-PCIe-8-pin adapter among the accessories.
- Support: The accessory list includes a VGA holder kit, useful for supporting a large card in a compatible build.
GIGABYTE describes a concealed power connector intended to tuck cables behind the chassis for a cleaner-looking build. That is a manufacturer design claim; it does not remove the need to verify cable routing and clearance in your own case. GIGABYTE product page.

What is distinctive about its cooler and design?
GIGABYTE calls the cooler WINDFORCE HYPERBURST and lists patented Hawk fans, an Overdrive Fan design, composite metal GPU grease, RGB Halo lighting and a reinforced metal backplate. These are the manufacturer’s named design features; the independent measurements above are the evidence available here for operating temperature, power and noise. The feature list alone does not show that this card cools better or runs quieter than another RTX 5080.

Warranty information differs between the manufacturer page and the store listing: GIGABYTE states “4 years warranty (Online registration required),” while the store listing reports a three-year period. Do not assume either duration applies universally. Confirm the written warranty terms for the card’s sales region and whether online registration is required. Who should consider this card?
- It may suit you if you want this specific RTX 5080 design, have room for a 330 mm card and suitable 16-pin power cabling, and find it at a competitive local price.
- Look elsewhere or measure first if your case has tight GPU or cable clearance, your power supply does not meet the system’s needs, or low noise is a priority and you cannot assess the reported acoustic behavior in context.
- Do not buy on an assumed performance lead over other RTX 5080 cards: the reported figures here do not provide a matched model-to-model test.
