GHunt is a modular open-source intelligence (OSINT) tool whose project README describes modules for investigating Google accounts and related objects. It may surface account-associated profile details, public activity, or information tied to Google documents and YouTube—but its listed outputs are conditional, not guaranteed. Results depend on what is exposed publicly, the target’s account settings and history, and the information available for the particular input.
What can GHunt find?
The GHunt project README describes the tool as “a modulable OSINT tool designed to evolve over the years, and incorporates many techniques to investigate Google accounts, or objects.” It lists four modules: email, document, YouTube, and Gaia. Email module
Given an email address, the README says the module may report an account owner’s name and Gaia ID, the time the profile was last edited, profile-picture details, whether the account is a Hangouts bot, and activated Google services. It also lists possible YouTube-channel and other-username associations, as well as Google Maps reviews, a possible physical location, and Google Calendar events.
Maps reviews and a possible location depend on public Google Maps reviews. Calendar events depend on a public Calendar. The README describes Google Calendar as closed by default, so those events should not be assumed to be visible.

Document module
For a Google document, the documented output may include the owner’s name and Gaia ID, profile-picture details, document creation and last-edit dates, public permissions, and the permissions of the person running the lookup. The README’s list does not mean the tool can bypass a document’s access controls.
YouTube module
The README lists a Gaia ID obtained via the Wayback Machine, whether the email address is visible, the channel’s country and description, total views, join date, primary social links, and information also available through the Gaia module. Availability depends on the information exposed or otherwise available for that channel.

Gaia module
The Gaia module’s listed fields include a profile name and picture, possible YouTube-channel and username associations, public Maps reviews, and a possible location. Maps-based information is conditional on reviews being public.

The README marks some features with letters that describe account-history or visibility requirements. Features marked “P” require either a default Google AlbumArchive setting that lets people with whom content is shared download photos and videos, or prior Picasa use linked to the account. Features marked “M” require public Google Maps reviews; those marked “C” require a public Google Calendar. These conditions can determine whether a listed field appears at all.

- A listed capability is not evidence that a particular account has that data available.
- Do not infer access to private information from GHunt’s OSINT label.
- The README crosses out some photo- and device-related fields; those should not be treated as current documented capabilities.
How does the documented setup work?
The README describes a workflow that uses browser cookies to generate authentication tokens. Cookies are sensitive account credentials: handle them accordingly, and consult the project’s current documentation before following release-specific steps. The README describes an automated browser-extension flow as well as manual cookie extraction, followed by token generation and module commands.
- Run
check_and_gen.pyas described in the README to validate cookies and generate authentication and Google Docs/Hangouts tokens. - Run a module with the documented command pattern, such as
python3 ghunt.py email ..., or provide a document URL for a document lookup. Use the current project instructions for exact arguments and setup details.
The project warns that logging back into the Google account used for the cookies may deauthorize them, depending on browser and location. It suggests using an empty account or one not otherwise used for login. This is a project-specific operational warning, not a guarantee about cookie behavior in every environment.
