If a Ghost of Yōtei outfit, armor dye, or mask is missing, first check that your edition or voucher includes it, then verify its unlock condition, game update, save file, and game mode. Sucker Punch has fixed specific cosmetic-reward bugs in patches, but there is no one documented recovery sequence for every missing item.
1. Identify the exact item and how it should unlock
Before troubleshooting, establish whether the missing cosmetic is an earned reward, an edition or preorder bonus, a voucher item, a New Game+ reward, or a trophy reward. Those categories have different requirements. PlayStation’s Ghost of Yōtei page lists the Snake armor and Digital Deluxe armor dye as Digital Deluxe content. Preorder bonuses are listed separately, and Collector’s Edition digital items require voucher redemption, an internet connection, and a PlayStation account.

If you own Standard Edition and are expecting a Digital Deluxe-only item, check your entitlement before treating it as a bug. PlayStation says a Standard-to-Deluxe upgrade is available for a fee; upgrading is relevant only if you want that edition content, not as a fix for an earned reward you already own.

Check the specific mission, activity, trophy, story milestone, or vendor requirement associated with the item. For New Game+ content, PlayStation says New Game+ unlocks after completing the main story. Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.100 added a vendor that uses Ghost Flowers and introduced cosmetics, including two armor sets. See the PlayStation game page and Sucker Punch Patch 1.100 notes.

Some offers have their own timing and version gates. The PlayStation US product page describes a limited-time Sakai Armor early-unlock offer ending September 30, 2026, with availability from October 1 through patch v2.0 or later. That is regional, time-sensitive storefront information; it does not explain why an older reward is missing.
3. Update the game and compare your case with documented fixes
Black Ghost mask after “To Catch a Spider”
Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.010 notes, published October 17, 2025, say: “Fixed a bug that prevented the Black Ghost mask from being granted to players who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of Ghost of Yotei once they completed ‘To Catch a Spider’.” This confirms a specific historical grant bug and its patch fix; it does not establish that every missing cosmetic has the same cause or that replaying the mission is necessary. Check that the game is updated and that the Digital Deluxe entitlement and mission condition apply to your case. Read the Patch 1.010 notes.

Platinum armor dye and separate save files
Patch 1.101, published December 4, 2025, fixed a rare bug that could prevent the platinum armor dye from arriving when the platinum trophy was earned across separate save files. If that matches your situation, update the game and check the reward again. The patch note does not say to delete, overwrite, or alter saves. See the Patch 1.101 notes.

4. Check the save file and mode where you expect to use it
A cosmetic being unlocked in one context does not necessarily mean it appears in every mode. Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.512, dated March 20, 2026, says certain cosmetics from New Game+ single-player saves are now unlocked in Legends. If an item is missing only in Legends, note the installed patch and the mode and save where you earned it. The update describes a specific change, not universal transfer of every cosmetic. For New Game+ vendor cosmetics, confirm that you have completed the main story and are checking the relevant vendor and Ghost Flower currency system. The New Game+ feature and its cosmetics were added in Patch 1.100.

Return to the screen where the specific armor, outfit, mask, or dye is equipped or selected. Confirm that you are viewing the right armor set and that the expected dye or cosmetic is selected. Sucker Punch’s builds guide describes combining outfits and armor with charms in saved builds, but it does not give a universal menu-refresh or cache-clearing procedure for missing rewards.

6. Contact Sucker Punch if the reward is still missing
If entitlement, unlock conditions, updates, mode, and save context all check out, report the specific case through Sucker Punch’s contact form. Include the item’s exact name, edition or voucher entitlement, the condition you completed and when, game version, mode, and relevant save or trophy context. A screenshot may also help explain what you expected and what appears instead. These are practical details to include; the contact page does not prescribe a universal recovery procedure.
