If Ghost of Yōtei DLC is missing, first check whether it was bought or redeemed on the PSN account you’re using and whether it has actually downloaded. Then determine whether it is absent from the PS5’s content menus or installed but not yet available inside the game; those are different problems. Work through the checks below in order before reinstalling anything.
First identify where the DLC is missing
- Not listed or not downloaded on the PS5: check the account, transaction, and add-on installation state.
- Installed but not visible in the game: check the add-on’s description for an unlock condition or a specific in-game location. Some add-ons only become available after a checkpoint or at a certain point in the game. Check ownership and the PSN account
Make sure the PS5 is signed in to the account that purchased or redeemed the add-on. Check that account’s transaction history and confirm the purchase completed; a transaction alone does not confirm that the content has downloaded. If you use more than one account on the console, switch to the purchasing account before checking the add-on.

Find and download the add-on
Check both PS5 content views. If the add-on is listed as installable, select it and download it. Bundles can contain separate packs, so inspect the individual content rather than assuming one download installed everything.
- Open Game Library > Your collection, select Ghost of Yōtei, and inspect its Add-Ons section.
- Alternatively, highlight Ghost of Yōtei on the home screen, press the Options button, then choose Manage Game Content.
- Download any purchased add-on shown as not installed. Check the item’s description to confirm it is included with your edition and to see where it should appear in the game.

Check the edition, item, and in-game unlock point
Verify that the specific add-on belongs to the edition or bundle you own. Then check its description for how and when it becomes available: it may require reaching a checkpoint, visiting a location, or looking in an inventory or mailbox. Do not buy the item again until you have confirmed what your edition includes and where the content is meant to appear.
For context, the US PlayStation Store listing for Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition says that Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted are included through patch v2.0 or later. Its fine print says patch-dependent content requires an internet connection and a PlayStation account to download. This is a US listing; it does not establish when the content became available in every territory.
If you use a disc, compare its region with your account
For a disc copy, the game disc’s licensed country or region must match the country or region of the PSN account for Store add-ons to work. Check the region printed on the game box and the country or region in your account information. PlayStation says the account country or region cannot be changed. - Restart the console, then check the add-on again.
- On PS5, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses, select the relevant game or add-on if prompted, and follow the on-screen steps.
PlayStation Support says restoring licenses can help when a game or add-on cannot be located and “won’t affect your data.” Read PlayStation’s license restoration steps.

Check for a PS5 system software update and a Ghost of Yōtei game update. This is particularly relevant to Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted, which the US Complete Edition listing says are included through patch v2.0 or later. Because the listing is territory-specific, check the Store page for your region for current availability.
If the account, download, region, unlock, restart, license, and update checks do not resolve the issue, KOEI TECMO’s general PS5 guidance suggests rebuilding the database in Safe Mode and then reinstalling the game and DLC. Contact support if the content is still missing
If the transaction is confirmed and the add-on remains unavailable, contact PlayStation Support with the transaction details and a screenshot or video showing what is missing. For a third-party title, PlayStation also advises checking with the publisher about known issues. The available official guidance here is general PS5 troubleshooting; it does not confirm a specific Ghost of Yōtei outage or defect.
