On the October 4, 2026 Steam U.S. Top Sellers snapshot, Gears of War: E-Day ranked above Cyberpunk 2077 by current revenue. That is the specific Steam measure behind the comparison—not a finding that E-Day has more players, more lifetime wishlists, or higher total sales. Steam’s listing showed E-Day’s availability date as October 6, 2026, so the chart placement appeared two days before that date.
What “ahead on Steam” means here
Steam’s U.S. Top Sellers chart describes its ranking as the top 100 selling games right now by revenue. In the snapshot returned October 4, 2026, E-Day appeared above Cyberpunk 2077. This is a volatile, point-in-time chart position, not an official statement of units sold or a lasting ranking.

The same Steam snapshot displayed E-Day at $69.99 and Cyberpunk 2077 at $17.99 after a 70% discount. Those are the page’s prices at that time, not stable prices. A lower displayed price does not by itself explain or establish the chart result.
How the wishlist and follower numbers compare
SteamDB’s tracker snapshots tell a different story depending on whether you look at cumulative totals or recent gains. Each measure is distinct; a recent gain should not be confused with a lifetime count.

Steam’s returned listing index gave E-Day an availability date of October 6, 2026. The October 4 chart snapshot therefore places it above Cyberpunk 2077 before that listed date. The snapshot does not explain why E-Day appeared in the chart ahead of availability, and it does not establish post-launch player activity.
