Which platforms support Gears of War: E-Day?
- Xbox console: Xbox Series X|S.
- PC: Windows 10/11, through the Microsoft Store or Steam.
Those are the platforms named on Xbox’s official game page and in its FAQ. Xbox Wire also lists Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Steam in its October 1, 2026 availability announcement. Xbox’s October 6, 2026 launch guide confirms the game is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Game Pass, and Steam.

Can you play it on Xbox One or Xbox 360?
Neither Xbox One nor Xbox 360 appears in the official supported-platform listings. The sources identify Xbox Series X|S as the console version; they do not list a native version for either older console. Do not treat the absence of those consoles from the listings as evidence of backwards compatibility.

Does cloud gaming make it playable on an older Xbox?
Xbox Wire says cloud gaming is available through Game Pass Ultimate and GeForce NOW. That is a cloud access option, not a native Xbox One or Xbox 360 release. The announcement does not establish whether cloud play works on a particular legacy console, so check the relevant service’s current device requirements before relying on it.

Xbox says the game is included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Its launch announcement said eligible members could play at launch on October 6, 2026.
Across console and PC
Xbox Play Anywhere supports play across Xbox Series X|S and PC, with shared progression and achievements, according to the Xbox FAQ.
