What E-Day’s Steam launch numbers show
SteamDB’s chart recorded 31,517 concurrent players as the game’s all-time Steam peak on October 7, 2026. Concurrent players are people playing at the same time; the figure is not the number of copies sold, total players, or revenue. On that evidence, calling the Steam launch a flop is not justified.

Why Steam activity cannot settle the sales question
The available sources do not establish E-Day’s sales, revenue, or total audience. A concurrent-player peak measures a moment of activity, not purchases. It also covers Steam alone, while E-Day is available on other platforms and through Game Pass.

When E-Day launched—and where it is available
The worldwide public launch was October 6, 2026, at 15:00 UTC. Early Access began October 1 at 15:00 UTC for Premium Edition players and qualifying Game Pass subscribers, so October 1 activity should not be described as the general-release launch. Xbox lists the game for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Steam, and includes it with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Is a PS5 version announced?
No PS5 release or port appears in the official launch and platform listings cited above. Windows Central described the announced console lineup as Xbox-only in its June 7, 2026 report; that describes the announced lineup, not a guarantee that no later port could ever happen.
