How can you play the campaign?
The campaign supports solo play and co-op, with different options depending on whether you are playing locally or online.

What multiplayer modes does E-Day have?
Outside the campaign, Xbox lists Horde Siege as a cooperative PvE mode and Versus as PvP. The modes serve different preferences: Horde Siege is for players working together against waves and objectives, while Versus is competitive play against other players.
Horde Siege: cooperative survival with objectives
In a July 30, 2026 multiplayer deep dive, The Coalition calls Horde Siege a 12-player evolution of the series’ wave-based survival mode. The official listing names Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, with Steam identified in the Xbox FAQ as a PC access route. It lists The Coalition as developer and Xbox Game Studios as publisher. Because release timing and availability can change, check the official Xbox listing for current details.
