What makes Watch Dogs 2 difficult to replace
Watch Dogs 2 puts DedSec in a shared open world built around the fight against ctOS 2.0. This is a first-person RPG, not a third-person hacker sandbox. You play a customizable protagonist, invest in a build and manage role-playing systems rather than switching between DedSec-style gadgets from an external camera. Night City is also darker in tone than the youthful, satirical energy of Watch Dogs 2. Watch Dogs: Legion: the same DNA with a different structure
Watch Dogs: Legion is the most direct thematic follow-up because it keeps the franchise’s focus on hacking and city manipulation. Ubisoft describes a DedSec rebuilding effort in which you recruit and play as anyone you encounter in the open world. Its systems support combat, stealth and hacking approaches, and the game includes an invasion mode.
Why it matches
You retain the core pleasure of turning urban technology into an advantage. Security devices, cameras and other connected systems can support reconnaissance, distractions and escapes. The recruit-anyone premise also encourages experimentation: a new operative can change the tools and tactics available for the next objective.

The central character is no longer a single, continuously developed protagonist. Your operative roster becomes the narrative framework, and switching characters is part of ordinary play. That structure can provide variety, but it changes emotional continuity: relationships and personal arcs are distributed across recruits instead of concentrated in one hero. The tone and setting also differ from the San Francisco identity associated with Watch Dogs 2.

Skyrim Special Edition: choose it for freedom, not hacking
Skyrim Special Edition is an open-world, single-player RPG. Steam lists character customization, stealth and mod support among its features and gives 27 October 2016 as the release date.
Why it matches
Its strength is systemic freedom. You can explore in almost any direction, develop a character around different abilities and discover quests that emerge from wandering rather than from a single prescribed route. Stealth builds let you bypass danger, while the broader role-playing system supports very different approaches to combat and problem solving. Pick Skyrim Special Edition if “games like Watch Dogs 2” means a world where you can ignore the main path, build a character your own way and keep discovering unexpected quests. Do not choose it expecting a substitute for hacking mechanics.

Start with Watch Dogs: Legion for the closest mechanical continuation. Choose Cyberpunk 2077 if you are willing to trade third-person city hacking for a deeper first-person RPG built around cyber abilities and a consequential story.

You want stealth routes and non-linear missions
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the focused choice. Its compact hubs are a limitation only if your priority is uninterrupted open-world travel; for infiltration, augmentations and route planning, that smaller scale is an advantage.
You want the largest sense of personal freedom
Skyrim Special Edition offers the most open-ended exploration and mod-driven customization in this group. Its match is thematic rather than mechanical, so select it for freedom, not for modern surveillance systems.
