If you want a game like Nekome: Nazi Hunter right now, start with Sniper Elite 5 for stealth and reconnaissance, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus for spectacular Nazi resistance, or Zombie Army 4: Dead War for supernatural co-op shooting. None reproduces Nekome’s third-person melee combat, Romani protagonist, improvised weapons, traps and fear system exactly. They are the closest available substitutes along different parts of its design.
Nekome: Nazi Hunter is planned for Q1 2027, so it is not yet a playable option. This guide separates historical stealth, alternate-history revenge and Nazi-zombie horror so you can choose the right substitute instead of assuming every Nazi-hunting game offers the same experience.

What makes Nekome: Nazi Hunter different
The clearest description of Nekome: Nazi Hunter is a personal revenge story rather than a conventional soldier campaign. Steam describes Vano Nastasu as a young Romani man whose family is murdered by Nazi soldiers. His campaign follows grief and vengeance, not an abstract military objective. That perspective matters: the Nazi occupation is experienced through one survivor’s pursuit of the people responsible.

Its announced loop combines scouting enemy routes, choosing an approach, setting traps, using improvised weapons and engaging in close-quarters combat. The description also refers to enemy fear and notoriety, suggesting that how you attack can affect later encounters and the way enemies respond. Because the game is unreleased, those systems should be treated as announced goals rather than tested features.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That combination creates three separate things a substitute might match:
- Motivation: a revenge-driven protagonist confronting Nazi power.
- Method: reconnaissance, stealth, preparation and a decisive attack.
- Feel: close, physical combat with consequences for enemy morale.
No currently available recommendation matches all three. The useful approach is to decide which element matters most to you.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus — choose it for maximum revenge catharsis
Why it is the closest thematic match
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the strongest pick when “hunt Nazis” means confronting the regime directly and repeatedly. Its official Steam description sends BJ Blazkowicz to Nazi-controlled America to recruit resistance leaders. The story is set in an alternate 1961, not the historical World War II of Nekome, but the target is unmistakable: a Nazi state that must be attacked rather than merely survived.
The emotional register is revenge and resistance at a much larger scale. BJ is not quietly eliminating a patrol connected to one family tragedy; he is helping organize an uprising against an occupying government. That makes the game a good substitute for the anger and catharsis of Nekome, even when its spectacle moves far beyond a grounded historical setting.
How its action differs
This is a first-person shooter built around firearms, hatchets and futuristic weapons. It does not reproduce Nekome’s announced third-person viewpoint, improvised close combat, route scouting or fear-and-notoriety framework. Stealth can be part of the way you approach some situations, but the central rhythm is aggressive shooting rather than patiently studying a compound and building a trap sequence.

That difference is important for expectations. Choose Wolfenstein II if you want momentum, heavy resistance action and a high-volume stream of Nazi targets. Do not choose it expecting a simulation of Romani survivor revenge or a melee-focused stealth sandbox.
Best for
- Players who want the most direct Nazi-resistance fantasy.
- Players who prefer first-person shooting to third-person melee.
- Players who value a dramatic alternate-history campaign over historical authenticity.
- Players who want a complete, currently released single-player game while waiting for Nekome.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was released on 26 October 2017 by MachineGames and Bethesda Softworks, according to its Steam listing.

1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsSniper Elite 5 — choose it for stealth, reconnaissance and preparation
Why it is the best mechanical substitute
Sniper Elite 5 is the closest match for the preparation-and-execution side of Nekome. Its official listing follows Karl Fairburne in France as he investigates Project Kraken in 1944. The game emphasizes authentic sniping, stealth, open maps, third-person shooting, solo play and co-op.
The shared appeal is not the protagonist’s biography. Karl’s mission is a military investigation, whereas Vano’s is a personal response to the murder of his family. The overlap is in how the player handles an objective: observe enemy positions, understand patrols, select a route, create an opening and strike when the situation is favorable.
What you can expect instead of melee
Sniper Elite 5 is fundamentally a ranged game. Its tension comes from line of sight, distance, concealment and the risk of exposing your position. That makes it a poor fit if your priority is physically confronting enemies with improvised weapons. It is a strong fit if your priority is the mental process that precedes an attack.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Its open maps also make it easier to approach an objective in different ways than a linear shooting gallery would. You can treat a mission as a reconnaissance problem: identify routes, find a useful firing position, decide whether to remain hidden and execute only when the conditions are right. Those decisions echo Nekome’s announced focus on scouting and planning, even though the tools are rifles and explosives rather than traps and close-quarters attacks.

The game supports solo play and co-op. Solo play is the better comparison if you want the concentration of a lone hunter, while co-op changes the experience into coordinated overwatch and simultaneous attacks. That social option is a clear departure from Nekome’s announced single-player format, but it is useful if you want a World War II stealth game to play with another person.
Best for
- Players who care most about stealth, reconnaissance and open-map planning.
- Players who prefer a grounded 1944 setting to alternate history or supernatural horror.
- Players who want third-person play but are comfortable with shooting instead of melee.
- Players who want a solo campaign with the option of co-op.
Sniper Elite 5 launched on 25 May 2022 from Rebellion, as recorded by its Steam listing.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War — choose it for supernatural co-op action
Where it fits
Zombie Army 4: Dead War belongs in a separate lane. It retains a World War II-era Nazi-targeting frame but replaces grounded human opposition with zombies and a supernatural horror premise. The connection to Nekome is therefore broad and tonal: you are still fighting Nazi-linked enemies in a period-inspired setting, but the story is not a survivor’s realistic revenge journey.
This is the recommendation for players who want immediate action, horror spectacle and the option to play with friends. It is not the recommendation for readers seeking historical detail, a quiet stealth approach or the specific perspective of a Romani protagonist.

Why the difference matters
Supernatural enemies change the meaning of stealth and planning. In a grounded revenge story, observing a patrol and avoiding detection can communicate vulnerability and personal danger. In a zombie-action game, the pressure usually comes from surviving escalating attacks and controlling crowds. That produces a faster, more combat-heavy experience.
The co-op orientation also changes the emotional center. Nekome is announced as a single-player story about one person’s grief and choices. Zombie Army 4 is better understood as a shared action scenario in which teamwork and firepower are central.
Best for
- Players who want Nazi-themed enemies without requiring historical realism.
- Players who prefer horror and supernatural escalation.
- Players looking for a co-op session rather than a solitary revenge narrative.
- Players who value frantic shooting more than stealth-melee immersion.
The official material used for this comparison confirms the game’s supernatural World War II premise and co-op-oriented structure but does not state a release date.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Choose by the part of Nekome you want to replace
If the protagonist’s revenge is the priority
Pick Wolfenstein II. It does not share Vano Nastasu’s Romani identity or family-centered motivation, but it delivers the most forceful sense of striking back at a Nazi regime. Its alternate-history setting means the emotional match is stronger than the historical one.
If stealth and route planning are the priority
Pick Sniper Elite 5. It offers the clearest substitute for watching enemy movement, choosing a position and executing a plan. Accept that the central tool is a rifle and that the protagonist is a military operative, not a civilian survivor pursuing personal justice.

- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
If close-range physicality is the priority
None of the three is an exact replacement. Wolfenstein II includes hatchets and aggressive weapons, but it remains a first-person shooter. Sniper Elite 5 is centered on ranged combat, and Zombie Army 4 is built around shooting supernatural enemies. Nekome’s announced combination of third-person perspective, improvised weapons and close-quarters combat is still its most distinctive promise.
If historical World War II atmosphere is the priority
Choose Sniper Elite 5, set in 1944 France. Nekome is also framed as a World War II story, while Wolfenstein II deliberately moves into alternate history and Zombie Army 4 into supernatural horror.
If you want to play with friends
Choose Sniper Elite 5 for a stealth-oriented co-op option or Zombie Army 4 for a more overtly co-op action structure. Nekome is announced as single-player, and Wolfenstein II is a single-player campaign.

The Q1 2027 date is a planned release window, not a guarantee. Since the game is still unreleased, details such as the final combat depth, mission structure, accessibility options, platform availability and the exact operation of fear and notoriety may change before launch. Treat store-page descriptions as the current design target rather than a hands-on specification.
The most meaningful launch questions will be whether scouting genuinely changes enemy routes, whether traps and improvised weapons support several viable approaches, and whether enemy fear produces systemic consequences instead of merely changing a meter. Those answers will determine whether Nekome is primarily a stealth sandbox, a melee action game with stealth elements, or a story-led revenge adventure with a lighter systemic layer.
A practical buying decision
- Choose your setting. Select Sniper Elite 5 for historical 1944 France, Wolfenstein II for alternate-history 1961, or Zombie Army 4 for supernatural horror.
- Choose your viewpoint and combat. Pick Sniper Elite 5 for third-person shooting, Wolfenstein II for first-person gunplay, or Zombie Army 4 for co-op-focused shooting.
- Choose your social format. Use Wolfenstein II for a solo campaign, Sniper Elite 5 for solo or co-op, and Zombie Army 4 when shared action is the main goal.
- Choose your emotional tone. Select Wolfenstein II for resistance catharsis, Sniper Elite 5 for controlled tactical tension, or Zombie Army 4 for horror spectacle.
Bottom line on games like Nekome: Nazi Hunter
Sniper Elite 5 is the best overall substitute for Nekome’s stealth-and-planning promise. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the best substitute for its Nazi-hunting revenge energy. Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the correct pick only when supernatural co-op action is more important than realism and personal storytelling.
Nekome remains distinct because its announced design combines a Romani survivor’s personal revenge with third-person melee, improvised weapons, traps and enemy fear. Until its planned Q1 2027 release, the closest available game depends on which of those elements you want most.
