Tokyo-based Japanese brand Galleria has introduced the NSC5L-IG-C4, a laptop weighing approximately 1 kg and built around Intel’s Core Ultra 5 125U processor. The configuration offers up to 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5 memory and up to 2 TB of NVMe storage, with an M.2 slot allowing the storage drive to be replaced or expanded. Notebookcheck reported the launch on October 16, 2026.
What the Galleria NSC5L-IG-C4 is
The NSC5L-IG-C4 is a lightweight notebook from Galleria, a Tokyo-based brand whose N-series positioning emphasizes practical performance, high-resolution displays, and Japanese assembly and inspection. The approximately 1 kg chassis targets buyers who need a portable Windows computer but still want a modern hybrid processor, substantial memory and fast solid-state storage.

Galleria has not established final retail pricing, battery-test results or broad international availability in the launch information. Those details may vary by configuration and market, so the model should be treated as a Japan-focused launch until a retailer confirms shipping and support for a buyer’s region.

What “12-core” means on the Core Ultra 5 125U
The 12-core figure does not mean the laptop has twelve identical high-performance cores. The Core Ultra 5 125U uses Intel’s hybrid design: two performance cores handle demanding, latency-sensitive work; eight efficient cores provide additional throughput; and two low-power efficient cores are intended for lighter background activity. Intel lists 14 threads in total and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.3 GHz.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
This arrangement can balance responsiveness and efficiency, but the core count alone cannot predict performance in every application. Sustained results depend on the laptop’s cooling system, firmware, power limits and software. No independent complete-system benchmark was identified with the launch report, so the 125U’s specifications should not be presented as a measured NSC5L-IG-C4 score.
Memory and storage: the key buying decision
Choose the RAM capacity before ordering
The LPDDR5 memory is soldered to the motherboard. It cannot be removed or upgraded later, and the stated ceiling is 32 GB. Buyers who expect to run virtual machines, large creative projects, development tools or extensive browser sessions should select the 32 GB configuration at purchase. A lower-capacity version may be adequate for office work and everyday web use, but its memory limit will remain fixed.

Use the M.2 slot for storage flexibility
Storage is less restrictive. Configurations can include up to 2 TB of NVMe storage, and the reported M.2 slot provides a path to replace the installed drive or add a larger compatible module, subject to the laptop’s physical and firmware limits. An M.2 NVMe SSD upgrade is therefore the practical expansion route if the original drive is too small; confirm the supported form factor and warranty terms before opening the chassis.

Portability and power expectations
At approximately 1 kg, the NSC5L-IG-C4 is designed for frequent travel, commuting and classroom use. The processor is specified at 15 W base power and up to 57 W maximum turbo power. Those are Intel’s chip-level values, not a measurement of the laptop’s total electricity use, fan noise or battery endurance. They cannot be converted directly into a number of hours on battery.

No independent battery test or long-term reliability result has been established for this model. Buyers should wait for a complete review or check Galleria’s configuration documentation for battery capacity, charger details, display options and connectivity before making a portability comparison.
Availability and how to look for the exact model
The strongest product-search phrase is “Galleria NSC5L-IG-C4 laptop”. Search Galleria’s Japanese product listings and authorized retailers using the complete model code rather than “Galleria NSC5L,” which may match other configurations. Amazon availability, price and geography were not verified in the launch information, so a listing should be checked for the exact NSC5L-IG-C4 designation, Japanese keyboard layout, warranty coverage, delivery region and return policy.

What is still unknown
The launch announcement does not establish a final retail price, battery-life result, independent performance benchmark, complete port list, display specification for every configuration or non-Japan release schedule. Those omissions matter when comparing the NSC5L-IG-C4 with other ultraportables. The confirmed advantages are its roughly 1 kg weight, hybrid 12-core/14-thread processor option, 32 GB maximum memory and expandable M.2 storage; the remaining purchase decision depends on the configuration and market in which it is sold.
The Bottom Line
Galleria’s NSC5L-IG-C4 combines an approximately 1 kg design with Intel’s 12-core, 14-thread Core Ultra 5 125U. Select RAM carefully because the LPDDR5 is soldered; storage is the upgradeable component through the M.2 slot. Price, battery performance and international availability remain unconfirmed.
