| Model | Reported US deal price | Reported regular price | What the coverage says about the hardware |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, 256GB | $1,699, reported by Tom’s Guide on October 6, 2026 | $2,099, reported by Tom’s Guide | Tom’s Guide describes a larger inner and cover screen and a telephoto camera than on the standard Fold 8. |
| Galaxy Z Fold 8 | $1,549, reported by Tom’s Guide on October 6, 2026 | $1,899, reported by Tom’s Guide | Tom’s Guide presents it as the more compact choice. |
The standard Fold 8 was the lower-priced Samsung option in the cited coverage. Whether the Ultra’s reported screen and camera differences justify its higher reported price depends on which features matter to you; the deal reports do not provide independent testing to assess camera quality or other performance.
Does the Prime Day deal make the Ultra a better choice than an iPhone?
The “Forget iPhone Duo” framing is not enough to establish a head-to-head recommendation. The cited material does not provide a verified Apple model, its current availability or price, official comparative specifications, or tested results. It therefore supports a dated Samsung deal comparison—not a conclusion that the Fold 8 Ultra is better value than an iPhone. Compare current prices and confirmed specifications for the exact models you are considering.
