US: what the Samsung offer covers
Samsung’s US page lists the Fold8 and Flip8 series among the purchases that qualify for a same-transaction accessory promotion. Separately, its offer text describes a select Galaxy Z Flip8 discount of up to $150 from September 28 through November 2, 2026, while supplies last. That wording does not say every Flip8 storage tier is included. It also does not extend the discount to the Fold8.
If you want a Fold8 on Samsung.com, don’t assume the Flip8 discount carries over. Compare the Fold8 price in your cart against the Flip8 price before you count on any saving.

US carrier deals: dated launch offers
TechRadar’s August 7, 2026 coverage described the early carrier deals:
- T-Mobile: up to $1,900 off the Fold8 Ultra with a trade-in and a qualifying line.
- Verizon: a Fold8 option on a 48-month contract.
- AT&T: a Fold8 offer tied to an eligible trade-in and unlimited-plan conditions.
The same report noted an Amazon gift card and trade-in savings. These offers are two months old and may have changed or ended, so confirm them on the carrier or retailer’s own page. The pattern is the useful part: the biggest numbers usually combine a high-value trade-in, a new or qualifying line, and a long commitment. A 48-month term can make a phone look nearly free while locking you in for four years.

UK and Ireland cashback
UK
TechRadar reported on September 14 that eligible purchases count through October 9, with claims due within 30 days. Participating sellers named were Amazon, Currys, Argos, AO, Very and Samsung. Because that is a secondary report, read Samsung’s official UK terms for qualifying models, amounts and claim steps before you buy.
Ireland
Samsung Ireland’s page lists €405 cashback on the Fold8 and €290 on the Flip8. It required a Samsung.com purchase by October 6, 2026, plus registration and a claim within 30 days. That purchase deadline has passed, so a new order will not qualify. If you bought on or before October 6, you can still claim within the 30-day window.

How trade-in credit works
Samsung’s trade-in terms set the conditions that decide whether you get the advertised credit:
- The old device must meet function and condition criteria. A cracked or non-working phone is likely to be worth less, or nothing.
- You must own the device. Leased phones are not eligible.
- Reset the phone to factory settings, remove your personal data and disable software locks.
- Samsung says the trade-in program generally cannot be combined with other Samsung, carrier or retailer promotions unless the terms specifically allow it.
The last point matters most. A Flip8 promotional discount and a trade-in credit may not stack. Check at checkout which one is applied, or whether both are.

Compare the real cost before you commit
- Pin down the exact model and storage. Flip8, Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra are separate products with separate deals.
- Get a device-specific trade-in quote. Use your phone’s actual condition, not the headline maximum.
- Separate unlocked purchases from carrier deals. Note any required line, plan tier or installment term, and what happens to the credits if you leave early.
- Find out how the saving is paid. It may be an instant checkout reduction, cashback after a claim, bill credits spread over months, or an accessory credit. Only the first lowers what you pay today.
- Write down both deadlines. Purchase cutoff and claim window are different dates. Cashback offers can be lost by missing the claim.
- Check stacking and returns. Confirm whether the promotion, trade-in and any accessory offer can be combined, and what happens to the credits if you return the phone.
Which buyer should act now
- US Flip8 buyer: the Samsung discount runs to November 2 while supplies last, so you have time to compare. Check that your chosen configuration is one of the “select” ones.
- UK buyer: the cashback window is reportedly days from closing (October 9), so decide quickly and read the terms first.
- Irish buyer: the Samsung.com cashback has closed. Compare retailer and carrier pricing instead.
- Fold8 buyer in the US: work from live carrier pages. Samsung’s confirmed discount in the offer text is for the Flip8 only.
