Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs vivo X300 Pro: Which Specs Matter Most?

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and vivo X300 Pro suit different priorities: the Flip7 folds shut into a compact clamshell with a useful 4.1-inch cover display, while the X300 Pro is a conventional flagship phone whose listed specifications emphasize a dedicated telephoto camera, larger battery and faster wired charging. Choose first by form factor, then check the exact local model and price—especially for the vivo, whose figures here come from secondary comparison sources.

At a glance: foldable or conventional flagship?

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is a clamshell foldable. Its 6.9-inch main screen folds in half, and a 4.1-inch cover screen lets you interact with the phone while it is closed. The vivo X300 Pro is presented in comparison listings as a conventional slab-style phone, with a 6.78-inch main display and no cover display. Samsung’s product material establishes the Flip7 specifications; the vivo profile and specifications below are from secondary sources, so confirm the regional SKU before buying.

Samsung’s specifications come from its official Galaxy Z Flip7 announcement and product specifications. The vivo display, configuration, camera, battery and charging figures are attributed to a 91mobiles comparison listing; they should not be treated as confirmation for every market or variant.

Which design and display should you choose?

Choose the Flip7 for folding and cover-screen access

The Flip7’s main distinction is functional, not just its smaller folded footprint. When closed, its 4.1-inch display gives you a way to access compatible information and controls without opening the phone. That can suit someone who wants a large screen when needed but a compact shape the rest of the time. The trade-off is that using the full 6.9-inch display requires unfolding it.

Choose the vivo for a conventional phone shape

The X300 Pro’s listed 6.78-inch screen is close in diagonal size to the Flip7’s 6.9-inch unfolded screen, but it does not fold or provide a cover display in the comparison profile. If you prefer a single, always-accessible display and do not want a hinge-based design, the vivo’s form is the more straightforward fit. The comparison listing gives its panel a 2800 × 1260 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate; Samsung identifies the Flip7 panel as FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz.

How do the cameras compare?

On the listed hardware, the vivo has more camera roles: a main camera, a dedicated 200MP telephoto camera and an ultrawide camera. The Flip7 has a 50MP wide camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The vivo listing also attributes a 50MP front camera to its compared configuration, versus Samsung’s 10MP selfie camera.

Those numbers describe hardware, not comparative photo quality. The available sources do not establish a controlled head-to-head camera test, so they cannot show which phone takes better photos across daylight, low light, portraits, video or moving subjects. A dedicated telephoto camera may be a more relevant feature if you often shoot distant subjects, but megapixel counts alone do not prove sharper or better-looking results.

Which has better battery life or charging?

The listed battery capacities favor the vivo on paper: 6,510mAh versus Samsung’s 4,300mAh typical capacity. Samsung says the Flip7 battery’s rated capacity is 4,174mAh; its 4,300mAh figure is the typical value based on laboratory testing. The vivo number is from a secondary comparison page, not an independently verified regional specification here.

For wired charging, the comparison listing gives the vivo 90W, while Samsung’s estimate for the Flip7 is up to 50% in around 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and a 3A USB-C cable. These are different kinds of specification: the Samsung statement is a conditional estimate, and the vivo figure is a listed charging rating. Neither number alone establishes an equivalent real-world charging time. Check what charging equipment is supplied with the regional model before purchasing.

Which processor and storage configuration is listed?

Samsung lists the Flip7 with an Exynos 2500 processor, 12GB of memory and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. The comparison source lists the vivo X300 Pro configuration as a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage. This is not a like-for-like range comparison: the vivo figures describe the configuration used in that listing, and local variants can differ. Confirm the exact model number, memory and storage offered in your market rather than assuming every X300 Pro has that configuration.

What is the price difference?

There is no dependable single global price difference in the available listings. Indian third-party pages showed conflicting snapshots when accessed on October 7, 2026:

India listing snapshot Galaxy Z Flip7 vivo X300 Pro
91mobiles displayed price ₹92,999 ₹119,999
Gadgets Now offer display About ₹1,09,999 About ₹1,09,998

These are volatile India-oriented listing figures, not guaranteed current retailer prices; the Gadgets Now page also showed a separate vivo list-price field of ₹1,19,999. The pages do not establish a stable, exact like-for-like price for a particular retailer, storage configuration or warranty. Check the live price for the precise SKU and compare the final checkout total, warranty and return terms.

For context only, Android Central’s launch-period review gives China-market X300 Pro prices of CNY 5,299 for 12GB/256GB, CNY 5,999 for 16GB/512GB and CNY 6,699 for 16GB/1TB, with a photography kit bundle listed at CNY 8,299. These are launch-market figures, not current global prices. Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 on July 9, 2025, with general availability beginning July 25, 2025. The cited comparison pages disagree on the vivo’s launch date, so a single precise date is not established here.

Which phone is better for your needs?

  • Pick the Galaxy Z Flip7 if you specifically want a clamshell foldable, a compact closed shape and a cover screen for use without unfolding.
  • Consider the vivo X300 Pro if you prefer a conventional phone and value the dedicated telephoto camera, larger listed battery and higher listed wired-charging rating—after verifying those specifications for your regional model.
  • Do not decide from camera megapixels or battery capacity alone. The cited sources do not provide controlled camera or battery-life results for these two phones.
  • Before paying, compare the exact local variants. Verify storage, warranty, network compatibility, included charging equipment, availability and live price; the India figures above are snapshots, not a universal price comparison.
