Android Authority reported on October 6, 2026, that Amazon was offering the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 in the 40mm LTE configuration for $269.99, compared with a stated $349.99 recommended retail price. That was $80 off, or 23%, and $4 more than the previous Prime Day price Android Authority had seen. The report describes a historical offer, not a verified current price or an audited all-time-low record; check the live listing, stock and Prime requirement before buying. Source: Android Authority.
What the reported Prime Day deal included
The offer covered the Galaxy Watch 8 40mm with LTE, not every size or connectivity version of the Watch 8. Android Authority reported a $269.99 deal price against a $349.99 recommended retail price, a stated saving of $80 (23%). The publisher said the price was $4 above the previous Prime Day offer it had seen. These figures reflect Android Authority’s October 6, 2026 report and should not be treated as a live quote or a complete market-wide price history. Android Authority’s deal report.

Android Authority described the promotion as requiring Amazon Prime membership. Because both the offer and eligibility can change, verify the current Amazon listing, availability, price and membership condition before checkout. Android Authority.
What the 40mm LTE model offers
LTE is the practical distinction in this deal: Android Authority says the watch can handle calls, messages and apps over cellular when your phone is not nearby. That can suit someone who wants to leave a phone behind for a short outing, but the usefulness depends on having cellular service set up for the watch. The report identifies this as the LTE model; it does not establish carrier availability, plan terms or activation costs. Android Authority.

These are details reported by Android Authority, not a substitute for checking Samsung’s current specifications for the exact regional model being sold. Android Authority.
Is this configuration a good fit?
- Consider LTE if you expect to make calls or receive messages without your phone nearby; otherwise, compare the price with a non-LTE version before deciding.
- Check the 40mm size against your wrist and comfort preferences. The reported offer was for this size, not a general discount on every Watch 8 variant.
- Think about charging if you plan to use cellular and health tracking regularly. Android Authority describes the battery as 325mAh and says usage may approach daily charging, especially with LTE and health tracking active. Android Authority.
- Confirm the actual checkout total, including whether the offer is still available and whether Prime membership is required.
How to interpret “within $4 of its all-time low”
The phrase refers to Android Authority’s comparison with a previous Prime Day price it had seen: the reported October 6 price was $4 higher. It is not proof of a comprehensive all-time-low price record. Treat $269.99 as a dated reported deal price, not a promise that the watch costs that amount now. Android Authority’s October 6 report.
