The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE (SM-T733) is an older Wi‑Fi tablet whose strongest case is a large 12.4-inch screen, included S Pen, expandable storage and support for Samsung DeX. It makes the most sense for video, reading, handwritten notes and lighter productivity—not for buyers who specifically want an OLED display, a compact tablet or a clearly established processor specification. Whether it is worth buying depends on the exact memory configuration, condition, regional update status and asking price; current stock and prices have not been verified.
What the SM-T733 is—and what it is not
Samsung’s India support page identifies SM-T733 as the Galaxy Tab S7 FE Wi‑Fi model. It is distinct from the cellular and 5G variants, whose specifications and review results should not be assumed to apply to this tablet. Samsung also cautions that specifications can differ by model, market, color and carrier, so check the model number and regional configuration on the actual listing before buying.

Samsung’s U.S. Wi‑Fi datasheet lists a 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage configuration and a 6 GB RAM/128 GB configuration. A seller’s generic “S7 FE” label is not enough to establish which one is offered.

How the large display holds up
The headline is a 12.4-inch, 2560 × 1600 TFT LCD display, according to Samsung’s 2021 launch specifications. It provides a roomy canvas for reading, video, handwritten notes and side-by-side apps. It is TFT, not the OLED panel used on the higher-tier Tab S7+; buyers seeking OLED contrast should not treat the S7 FE as equivalent.
#1 Best Overall
- Big Screen, Big Experience: A large 12.4 inch display brings your content to life in brilliant color whether indoors or outdoors, making Samsung Galaxy S7 FE a great tablet for study time or for a quick entertainment break
- Write, Draw, Clip, Tap with S Pen: Take notes in class, sketch out an idea or even doodle with the included S Pen*, featuring a responsive new design that feels closer to pen on paper than ever before
- More Workspace, More Ways to Work: Master every assignment with Galaxy connectivity; Get more done on an expanded workstation that lets you hand off content between your devices, or enjoy a PC like experience with multiple windows open on your tablet
- Speed to Move, Space to Grow: With the Qualcomm SM7225 Octa-Core processor, you’ll enjoy smooth entertainment; Plus, high storage memory lets you save and store what you need to access on a moment’s notice
GSMArena’s review coverage describes its reviewed S7 FE display as standard 60 Hz and discusses stereo speakers, but that review was of the 5G version. Treat those review-specific observations as variant-attributed, not as testing of the SM-T733. Samsung specifies two speakers with AKG sound and Dolby Atmos for the Wi‑Fi tablet.
The 12.4-inch size is useful at a desk or on a sofa, but it is less convenient to carry than a compact tablet. That is an ergonomic trade-off implied by the screen size, not a measured portability test.
Performance: check the processor instead of trusting a blanket claim
The processor evidence for the Wi‑Fi model is inconsistent. Samsung’s U.S. Wi‑Fi datasheet names Qualcomm SM7225-4-AB, with a 2 × 2.2 GHz and 6 × 1.8 GHz CPU configuration. Android Authority says the Wi‑Fi version uses Snapdragon 778G and the 5G version uses Snapdragon 750G, but its reviewed sample was the 5G model. These claims do not establish a single processor identity for every SM-T733 configuration or market.

No performance test of the SM-T733 is established here, so there is no sound basis for a benchmark claim or a confident prediction about demanding workloads. If processor identity matters to your decision, ask the seller for the exact regional SKU or verify the chip on the individual device through its system information or diagnostics.
Battery, charging, cameras and connections
- Battery: Samsung specifies 10,090 mAh. Its Wi‑Fi datasheet advertises “Up to 11 Hours” of use, while noting that actual life depends on network, selected features and usage. That is a manufacturer estimate, not a measured result for a particular unit; used-device battery health is also unknown until checked.
- Charging: Samsung lists support for 45 W Super Fast Charging. Support does not mean a charger is included with a present-day sale, and the seller’s listing should be checked for the supplied accessories.
- Cameras: Samsung specifies an 8 MP autofocus rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The published specifications establish resolution and autofocus, not image quality under particular conditions.
- Ports and storage: The Wi‑Fi datasheet specifies USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with DisplayPort output and microSD expansion up to 1 TB. A microSD card is sold separately; it can add storage but does not change the tablet’s installed RAM.
Is it good for students and light productivity?
Samsung lists an S Pen in the box and describes Samsung Notes, DeX and cross-device workflows. For lecture notes, reading documents and sketching, the included pen is a meaningful advantage—provided the listing includes it and the particular unit has not lost it. The 12.4-inch display also gives room for split-screen work, though 4 GB RAM on the base configuration is a modest starting point for keeping many apps active.
Samsung says DeX can work wired or wirelessly with supported monitors. A monitor and accessories are separate purchases, and Samsung’s datasheet notes that some apps may require a paid license. Editing Word, Excel or PowerPoint files in Microsoft 365 requires a separate license according to that same datasheet.

- ALL AROUND PROTECTION. ALL AROUND POSSIBILITY: Do more in a snap with a protective cover that doubles as a keyboard.
Samsung names the optional Book Cover Keyboard as a productivity accessory. Before choosing a keyboard case, confirm compatibility with the exact SM-T733 and its regional version, as well as whether the keyboard is included or sold separately. The tablet is better suited to notes, browsing and lighter document work than to replacing a laptop for every workload.
Software and update status
Samsung’s SM-T733 support materials include manuals for Android 11, 12, 13 and 14. Samsung’s firmware history records Android 14 build T733XXS9DYF1 for a regional channel, released July 9, 2025, with a June 1, 2025 security patch. That dated entry does not establish the latest patch for every country or carrier, nor does it promise a future Android upgrade or a fixed end-of-support date. Check the update status on the actual tablet and compare it with Samsung’s support information for your market.

Current prices, inventory, refurbished grades and battery health have not been verified. Samsung’s U.S. launch announcement in 2021 listed the Wi‑Fi model from $529.99 and the 5G model from $669.99; those were historical launch prices, not current offers or a guide to today’s value.

Judge a listing against what it actually includes and costs. The S7 FE is most compelling when its large screen and S Pen meet your needs and the price reflects its age and configuration. Compare it with alternatives using these checks:
- Confirm SM-T733, rather than a cellular or 5G variant, if Wi‑Fi is the model you want.
- Verify RAM and storage, plus the condition of the screen, USB-C port, S Pen and battery.
- Check the tablet’s regional software update status and whether it is still receiving updates in that market.
- Include the cost of any missing keyboard, case, charger or microSD card in your comparison.
- Decide whether a TFT 60 Hz-class display and the tablet’s size suit your use, or whether OLED, higher refresh rate or easier portability matters more.
- For a used or refurbished device, review the seller’s return policy and verify regional compatibility before purchase.
Verdict: The SM-T733 remains a plausible large-screen note-taking and media tablet when the condition and asking price are right. It is a weaker fit if you need a compact device, OLED, assured performance for demanding apps, or a clearly known future update runway.
