What has Samsung announced in the Tab S12 family?
Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ on September 30, 2026, and said availability would begin October 7 in select markets. What Samsung says about S12 Ultra performance
Samsung says the S12 Ultra’s 3nm processor delivers up to 61% faster NPU processing, 19% faster CPU performance, and 17% improved GPU power compared with the Tab S11 Ultra. These are Samsung’s product-comparison claims, not independent benchmark results. They compare the Ultra models—not the S12 Ultra with the standard S11—so they should not be treated as a measured speed difference for every task or between the S11 and S12+.
What does the Galaxy Tab S11 offer?
The S11 has an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 12GB of memory, and storage configurations ranging from 128GB to 512GB, according to Samsung. Samsung also says it supports microSD cards up to 2TB. The S Pen is included, and the tablet supports the Book Cover Keyboard Slim. Check the exact keyboard listing for S11 compatibility and current availability before purchasing. Software support
Samsung says the S11 is eligible for up to seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, with the security-update period measured from global launch. This is Samsung’s stated support policy; it is not a promise that every update arrives at the same time in every region or on every carrier model.

Which tablet makes more sense for you?
- Choose the S11 if portability matters most. Its 11-inch display is smaller than either announced S12 model, and Samsung says an S Pen comes in the box. Judge its value against the actual checkout price rather than assuming the February offer is still active.
- Consider the S12+ if you want more screen without the Ultra’s 14.6-inch size. Its 12.6-inch display offers more viewing area than the S11; current local pricing and stock need to be checked separately.
- Consider the S12 Ultra if a very large display is the priority. Samsung’s performance percentages may help frame the upgrade, but they are manufacturer claims comparing it with the S11 Ultra, not independent test results.
- Budget for accessories selectively. Samsung says the S Pen is included with the S11 and S12 models. Keyboard covers are compatible accessories rather than part of the standard tablet bundle; Samsung lists keyboard covers and an anti-reflecting screen protector as separate accessories for the S12 family. Confirm what a specific regional listing includes.
