If you’re considering a Galaxy S27 Ultra, there’s an important timing caveat: Samsung’s official announcement located for this guide covers the Galaxy S26 series, not the S27. The S26 Ultra is therefore the practical Samsung benchmark for now. For a large-screen Android alternative, compare it with the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and OnePlus 15—but choose according to your camera needs, charging habits, software preference, and local price rather than screen size alone.
What “Galaxy S27 Ultra alternatives” means right now
Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026 and said general availability would begin on March 11, 2026. That establishes the S26 Ultra as the current Samsung reference point in the official material available here; it does not establish an S27 announcement, release date, or specifications. The three alternatives worth comparing are the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and OnePlus 15. This is a practical shortlist, not a claim that they are the only large Android phones or that one has won a controlled head-to-head test. The official figures below describe manufacturer specifications, not independently verified comparative performance.

| Google Pixel 10 Pro XL | 6.8 inches, according to Google’s specifications. | 5,200mAh typical capacity; Qi2-certified wireless charging up to 25W. Google says its stated fast-charge result requires a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately. | Google’s software and camera experience, Qi2 accessories, and independent real-world battery results. |
| OnePlus 15 | 6.78 inches; adaptive 1–120Hz, with up to 165Hz for gaming, according to OnePlus’ US specifications. | 7,300mAh typical capacity; 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, according to OnePlus’ US specifications. | Battery and charging needs, gaming, current availability in your country, and independent endurance testing. |
Diagonal display measurements do not tell you a phone’s overall dimensions or how much screen area feels usable. If possible, handle a device in person, especially if you’re moving from a smaller phone.

Choose the alternative that fits how you use a phone
Consider the Pixel 10 Pro XL for Google’s software and Qi2 charging
The Pixel 10 Pro XL is a genuine large-screen option at 6.8 inches. Its 5,200mAh figure is a typical capacity, not a promise of a particular number of hours away from an outlet. Google lists Qi2-certified wireless charging up to 25W; achieving Google’s stated fast-charge result requires a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, which is sold separately. Check Google’s official Pixel 10 Pro XL specifications for the current details. If camera experience and Google’s software matter most to you, weigh those preferences alongside independent camera and battery tests; the specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better pictures or lasts longer.
Consider the OnePlus 15 for its listed charging and gaming specifications
On paper, the OnePlus 15 stands out for its listed 7,300mAh typical capacity, 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and gaming refresh rate of up to 165Hz. These are OnePlus specifications for the US model, not proof of longer everyday battery life or better performance in every game. OnePlus describes the battery as a dual-cell design equivalent to two serial cells and cautions that actual performance varies with the device, software, use conditions, and environment. Review the OnePlus 15 US specifications, then verify availability and compatible charging accessories for your region.

Consider the Galaxy S26 Ultra as the Samsung baseline
If Samsung’s software, ecosystem, or productivity features are why you’re looking at an Ultra, compare alternatives against the S26 Ultra rather than assuming unretrieved S27 features. Samsung measures the S26 Ultra display as 6.9 inches across the full rectangle, or 6.7 inches accounting for rounded corners, and describes a built-in Privacy Display in its launch announcement. Its US product page lists the camera system. Check Samsung’s current local product information and price before deciding how much those features are worth to you.

What specifications can—and can’t—tell you
Capacity and charging rates help describe what manufacturers claim, but they are not a standardized endurance test. Battery life depends on factors such as settings, network conditions, apps, and usage. Similarly, a high gaming refresh-rate ceiling is a specification, not a guarantee that every game supports it or that gameplay will be smoother in every circumstance.

The figures also refer to different things: Google calls its battery capacity typical, while OnePlus says its 7,300mAh capacity is typical and explains its dual-cell arrangement. Samsung’s cited sources do not state a comparable battery figure here. Do not treat the larger number as a direct forecast of longer runtime across brands.
No controlled three-phone test or independent camera ranking is established by these specifications. For a decision based on measured endurance, image quality, or sustained gaming, look for independent testing of the exact models and comparable conditions. Software-support duration and current pricing are not established here either; check each manufacturer’s current regional information and compare live prices for the storage configuration you want.

A practical way to make the choice
- Set your priorities. Decide whether camera use, gaming, battery habits, wireless charging, software, ecosystem, or productivity features matter most.
- Check fit, not just diagonal size. The listed displays are all around 6.8 inches or larger, but those measurements do not indicate overall handset size or comfort in one hand.
- Verify local details. Confirm the model is sold in your country, that its charging standards and accessories suit your needs, and that the price and storage option fit your budget.
- Use independent tests for outcomes. Compare like-for-like battery, camera, and gaming tests if those results will decide the purchase; manufacturer specifications are not head-to-head results.
