Why a feature-by-feature comparison would be misleading now
A comparison requires two published sets of specifications. Without them, statements such as “the Pro loses the periscope camera,” “the Ultra includes the S Pen,” or “the Pro has a smaller battery” would be guesses. Even a familiar product hierarchy cannot establish what Samsung will call Pro or Ultra features in a future generation.

Rumored specifications can also change before launch, and a component may vary by country. A processor, memory tier, radio configuration or storage option listed for one market would not automatically describe every S27 handset. Until Samsung publishes model names, specifications and regional details, there is no defensible list of sacrifices associated with the Pro.
What the current Galaxy S26 generation tells us—and what it does not
The S26 family is useful only as present-generation context. Samsung’s U.S. newsroom announcement dated February 25, 2026 says general availability for the S26 series begins March 11, 2026. Its S26 Ultra specification table lists a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz and a 5,000 mAh typical battery capacity.
Those are specifications for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, not predictions for either S27 model. They cannot show whether an S27 Pro will use a smaller panel, a different refresh range, a lower-capacity battery or different charging hardware. Samsung also described the S26 series as being powered by “the most intuitive, proactive, and adaptive Galaxy AI experiences yet”; that statement is about S26 and is not an S27 feature announcement.

The comparison points to check when Samsung publishes S27 specifications
Once an official specification sheet exists, the following categories will answer the reader’s question directly. Each one should be checked against the exact regional model rather than inferred from a product name.
Display
Compare diagonal size, resolution, panel type, adaptive refresh-rate range, peak brightness, protective glass and any differences in curved or flat construction. A larger display is not automatically sharper, and a higher maximum refresh rate does not describe how low the panel can go for power saving. The sheet should also identify whether both models support the same display features.
Camera system
Look for sensor sizes and resolutions for the main, ultrawide and telephoto cameras, plus optical zoom ranges, stabilization and video modes. “More megapixels” alone does not establish better image quality. Confirm whether a feature belongs to the hardware or to software processing, and whether it is available in every region.

S Pen
Check whether a stylus is included in the phone, supported as an optional accessory or unavailable. The important details are storage location, charging requirements, pressure sensitivity, remote controls and supported software actions. An Ultra’s stylus arrangement cannot be assumed for the S27 Ultra until Samsung specifies it.

Battery and charging
Compare typical capacity, rated capacity where supplied, wired charging wattage, wireless charging standards and reverse-wireless charging. Battery capacity is measured under stated laboratory conventions and does not predict runtime by itself. Charging speed may depend on the adapter, cable, temperature and regional package contents.
Processor and connectivity
Identify the exact chipset in each country, modem, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth versions, supported cellular bands and any difference between Pro and Ultra performance modes. A single global processor claim could be inaccurate if Samsung uses regional variants.

Memory and storage
Record every RAM and storage tier, the usable capacity after system software, and whether storage expansion is supported. A higher-priced Ultra may offer a tier that the Pro does not, but that is a future specification question rather than a confirmed S27 difference.
Physical design
Compare dimensions, weight, materials, ingress protection, biometric hardware and port layout. Case compatibility cannot be assumed between generations or between Pro and Ultra models, even when screen sizes appear similar.

How to verify the comparison after announcement
- Find Samsung’s announcement. Confirm that it names the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra and provides a publication date.
- Open the official specification pages. Check the country or region selector, because chipset, network bands, memory, storage and package contents can differ.
- Build a side-by-side sheet. Enter display, cameras, S Pen, battery, charging, processor, connectivity, memory, storage, dimensions, weight and durability exactly as Samsung states them.
- Separate hardware from software. Mark AI functions, camera modes and update-dependent features separately from sensors, lenses and physical components.
- Verify availability and price. Use the local Samsung store or newsroom information for release dates and launch prices, and label promotions as temporary.
- Recheck after launch. Firmware updates, regional variants and later storage tiers can change the practical comparison without changing the original announcement.
Should you wait or buy a current model?
If you need a phone before Samsung announces the S27 family, make the decision using phones that are actually available in your market. The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s published 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and 5,000 mAh typical battery are real S26 specifications, but Samsung has not said that an S27 model will retain them. Do not buy an S26 handset, case, charger or other accessory on the assumption that it is an S27 substitute or will fit an unreleased model.
If your purchase depends on a particular camera, stylus, battery or processor requirement, wait for Samsung’s official S27 specification sheet or choose a currently documented phone that already meets that requirement. The expected February 2027 timing reported by PhoneArena may change and should not be used as a guaranteed delivery date.
Bottom line
There is no verified answer yet to “Which features do you give up by choosing the Galaxy S27 Pro?” Samsung has not announced the S27 Pro or S27 Ultra, so every alleged difference is unconfirmed.
