Samsung has not announced Galaxy S27 prices. As of October 9, 2026, reports offer conflicting rumors: one set of U.S. targets keeps the base S27 and S27+ near the S26’s launch prices but puts the Ultra higher, while another says prices could rise across models or storage options. Samsung’s released Galaxy S26 prices are the firmest comparison—not a guarantee of what the S27 will cost.
How much will the Galaxy S27 cost?
There is no confirmed S27 price. On October 8, Android Authority reported a tipster’s claimed U.S. targets of $899 for the S27, $1,099 for the S27+, $1,399 for the S27 Ultra, and $1,299 for a rumored S27 Pro. These figures are leaks, not Samsung pricing, and the Pro model itself remains rumored. The report says the base and Plus targets match the original S26 and S26+ starting prices, while noting memory costs could affect the targets. Android Authority’s report

A separate September 30 report relayed a Korean blogger’s claim that increases could apply across models and storage capacities. That report also pointed to memory costs as a possible factor. It conflicts with the targets above, so neither should be treated as a settled forecast. Android Authority’s report on the broader price-hike rumor

These two rumor sets also use different levels of detail: one gives alleged U.S. dollar targets, while the other describes possible increases without establishing final prices. Neither confirms what Samsung will charge at launch.

What Samsung charged for the Galaxy S26 in the U.S.
The S26 is the useful confirmed benchmark. Samsung’s March 11, 2026 U.S. launch announcement gave starting prices of $899.99 for the Galaxy S26, $1,099.99 for the S26+, and $1,299.99 for the S26 Ultra. Samsung’s separate U.S. MSRP sheet, effective March 2026, lists prices by storage capacity:
| Model | Storage | U.S. MSRP (March 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26 | 128GB | $799.99 |
| Galaxy S26 | 256GB | $899.99 |
| Galaxy S26 | 512GB | $1,099.99 |
| Galaxy S26+ | 256GB | $1,099.99 |
| Galaxy S26+ | 512GB | $1,299.99 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | 256GB | $1,299.99 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | 512GB | $1,499.99 |
The launch announcement’s $899.99 S26 starting figure corresponds to the 256GB configuration in the MSRP sheet; the sheet lists a 128GB version at $799.99. For the S26 and S26+, the listed step from 256GB to 512GB is $200. Why might S27 prices rise?
Reports cite elevated memory and storage costs as possible pressure on prices; one also mentions chipset costs. Separately, a configuration leak says selected S27 tiers might use LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.1 storage. Those are reported possibilities, not an official Samsung cost breakdown, confirmed specifications, or proof that any component will increase a phone’s retail price. In other words, component costs could put pressure on pricing, but the available reports do not establish whether Samsung will pass any cost changes on to buyers or how much that might add.

Why Korean price rumors do not settle U.S. prices
Tom’s Guide reported a Korean-market rumor of an increase in the higher 130,000 won range, along with rising storage-upgrade costs. That claim concerns Korea; it does not establish U.S. prices. Regional pricing can’t be inferred from a currency conversion alone without verified exchange-rate, tax, and local pricing context. Tom’s Guide on the Korean-market rumor

If you need a phone now, the released S26 family is a real purchase option with published U.S. prices. If you can wait, an S27 announcement may clarify the price and specifications, but waiting does not guarantee a lower price or a better-value upgrade. To make the comparison useful when Samsung announces the S27, match the same tier and storage capacity across generations. Then compare the actual price you would pay—not just a rumored list price—after checking any live trade-in, carrier, or preorder terms. No S27 promotion is verified in the reports cited here.
For context on what the S26 offers, Samsung’s first-quarter interim report lists displays of 6.3 inches for the S26, 6.7 inches for the S26+, and 6.9 inches for the Ultra. It also lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5/Exynos 2600, Android 16, and One UI 8.5; the report notes the Ultra is thinner and lighter than the S25 Ultra and has a Privacy Display. These confirmed S26 details can help you assess a current purchase, but rumored S27 features do not yet establish whether waiting will improve the value. Samsung’s first-quarter 2026 interim report
