What is the price difference?
EligeMovil listed the Galaxy S26 at €629 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra at €1,109 in Spain on 30 September 2026, a difference of €480. The page describes prices as indicative and subject to change. The models also start at different storage capacities in that comparison: 128GB for the base S26 and 512GB for the Xiaomi. Other market figures illustrate why there is no single universal price verdict. Pinoy Techno Guide lists Philippine prices of ₱58,990 for the S26 with 12GB/256GB, ₱72,990 for its 12GB/512GB version, and ₱99,999 for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra; these are secondary-source figures rather than verified live-store quotes. How to make a fair local comparison
- Match storage capacity where possible; check the exact RAM and storage SKU rather than relying on a model name alone.
- Compare tax-inclusive prices from sellers that deliver to your location, and account for shipping, stock, warranty and return terms.
- Check the retailer’s current price directly. Listing prices and regional offers can change.
Which phone is easier to carry?
The base Galaxy S26 is the compact option: the comparison lists a 6.3-inch display, against 6.9 inches for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Xiaomi’s larger screen may suit video, reading and composing shots, but the listed diagonal alone does not establish weight or one-handed comfort. Which has the more versatile camera hardware?
On the listed specifications, both phones have a 50MP main camera. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra adds a 200MP telephoto camera with 4.3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide. The comparison lists a 10MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultrawide for the base Galaxy S26. That gives the Xiaomi stronger numbers and longer stated optical reach on paper; megapixels and lens specifications alone do not prove that it produces better photos in every situation.

How do their batteries and charging compare?
The side-by-side listing gives the Xiaomi 17 Ultra a 6,000mAh battery and 90W wired charging, compared with 4,300mAh and 25W for the Galaxy S26. These figures favor the Xiaomi for capacity and stated wired charging rate, but they do not establish how long either phone lasts in real use or how quickly it charges under every condition. What about storage and performance?
The comparison lists 512GB as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s starting storage and 128GB for the base S26. Samsung’s official S26-series material includes specifications for multiple models and markets; it identifies Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy specifically with the S26 Ultra. Do not assume that Ultra processor specification applies to the base S26. Check the official specification for the exact base-S26 SKU sold in your country before comparing chipsets. Samsung announced the S26 series on 25 February 2026, according to its launch release dated 26 February 2026. TechRadar reports that Xiaomi first launched the 17 Ultra in China in late 2025 and that its global version debuted in late February 2026. Which one should you buy?
Choose the Galaxy S26 if
- You want a smaller 6.3-inch phone rather than a 6.9-inch device.
- Your local price matters more than the Xiaomi’s larger listed camera and battery specifications.
- You have confirmed the S26’s storage configuration is sufficient and the local model’s specifications meet your needs.
Choose the Xiaomi 17 Ultra if
- You prefer a larger screen and a camera system with a 200MP 4.3x optical telephoto and higher listed ultrawide resolution.
- You want the larger listed battery, faster stated wired charging, or 512GB starting storage.
- The phone is officially available where you live and its local price, warranty and service arrangements work for you.
For software support, local repairs, warranty coverage, carrier compatibility and Android interface preferences, compare the terms for your country. The available specifications and price listings do not establish a comprehensive current comparison of support duration or service quality.

TechRadar’s review of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra listed a UK price of £1,299 and an Australian price of AU$1,799 for the 16GB/512GB configuration. Its UK purchase offer at the time included three months of Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium, four months of Spotify Premium, a free screen replacement during the first six months, and one out-of-warranty repair with labor waived if claimed within the 24-month warranty period.
