There is no reliable single price difference without matching the country, storage configuration and purchase date: Samsung’s India launch price for the 12GB/256GB Galaxy S26 was INR 87,999, but the available sources do not establish a current vivo price on the same basis.

Which phone is lighter and easier to carry?
Samsung lists the Galaxy S26 at 167g and vivo lists the X300 FE at 191g, a 24g difference in the S26’s favor. Both screens are around 6.3 inches, so the listed weight—not display size—is the clearest stated distinction for someone choosing between them based on carrying weight. The specifications cited here do not provide a complete dimensions comparison.

Which has the larger battery?
vivo lists a 6500mAh battery for the X300 FE; Samsung lists 4300mAh for the Galaxy S26. That is a substantial capacity difference on paper, but capacity alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts between charges. Comparable independent endurance results are not established by the cited product pages, so treat this as a battery-capacity comparison, not a battery-life verdict.
How do the camera specifications compare?
Rear cameras
The Galaxy S26’s listed rear setup combines a 50MP wide camera, 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. vivo lists a 50MP ZEISS main camera, 50MP ZEISS telephoto with 3x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide camera for the X300 FE. Both therefore list a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, while the stated resolution and branding differ across the camera modules.
Front cameras
vivo lists a 50MP front camera, compared with Samsung’s 12MP front camera. Megapixel counts do not by themselves show which phone produces better photos or video: the available specifications do not establish comparative image quality, low-light results, processing or video performance.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhat differs about the displays and processors?
The listed display sizes are nearly identical: 6.3 inches for Samsung and 6.31 inches for vivo. Samsung specifies an FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz. The cited vivo product page establishes its display size but does not provide a comparable panel-resolution or refresh-rate figure here. These specifications alone do not establish which screen is brighter or easier to read outdoors.

Processor choice depends on the Galaxy S26’s market: Samsung identifies Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy or Exynos 2600, while vivo India lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the X300 FE. A performance comparison needs the exact regional S26 variant and comparable testing; the processor names alone are not a measured speed result.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is the price difference in India?
A like-for-like current price difference cannot be calculated from the cited sources. Samsung’s India launch announcement listed INR 87,999 for the Galaxy S26 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and INR 107,999 for the 12GB/512GB configuration. Those are launch reference prices, not a guarantee of today’s checkout price. Samsung’s store page displays offers and pricing that can change, and the sources do not establish a current vivo X300 FE price matching either storage tier.
Before comparing costs, check the same country, RAM and storage configuration, seller, warranty terms and purchase date. A launch price for one model should not be compared with a later sale price for the other; recheck both checkout prices because offers and availability can vary.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if the listed 6500mAh battery capacity or 50MP front camera is more relevant to you, and its 191g weight is acceptable.
- Consider the Samsung Galaxy S26 if lower listed weight matters more, or if you prefer its specified FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and 120Hz adaptive refresh capability.
- Compare local prices before deciding if cost is decisive: the available India figures do not provide a current, storage-matched price for both phones.
For either model, confirm the exact regional version before buying, especially for the Galaxy S26’s processor variant. No conclusion about overall camera quality, real-world battery life, sustained performance, software support or long-term reliability follows from the specifications listed here.
