Amazon was selling the Samsung Galaxy S26+ for $150 less than usual ahead of its October Prime Day event, according to a PhoneArena report published October 5, 2026. The same report says you didn’t need a Prime membership to get the price. Deals like this change quickly, so confirm the live listing before you buy.
What was reported
PhoneArena’s deals desk said the Galaxy S26+ was $150 off at Amazon on October 5, 2026. Senior Deals Writer Polina Kovalakova wrote that the phone “is now $150 off, landing it at a more reasonable price.” That “more reasonable” verdict is the author’s opinion, not an established measure of value.

The report doesn’t say how long the discount would last. It also doesn’t say whether the price applies to every storage size and color. Check those details on the listing.
Do you need Prime for the Galaxy S26+ deal?
According to PhoneArena, no. The offer was described as available to shoppers without a Prime membership. Amazon can change eligibility, so look for any “Prime exclusive” label on the product page before you count on this.

Should you wait for Prime Day?
The source doesn’t say whether the price will drop further during the event or stay the same. It only shows that the discount was live before Prime Day began. If the $150 saving meets your budget and the listing checks out, buying now is reasonable. If you can wait, compare the price again once the event starts.
