Runtime, rating and release details
- Release year: 1981.
- Runtime: 1 hour 21 minutes, according to Roku’s listing.
- Displayed rating: IMDb 5/10 in Roku’s metadata. This is a rating shown by the listing, not a claim of critic consensus.
The relatively short runtime makes the film a practical choice for a single evening. Its central hook is fear made visible inside an alien structure, so viewers should expect a mix of rescue-mission science fiction, action elements and psychological horror rather than a straightforward space adventure.

Why this listing matters
For viewers searching for a no-rental-cost alien horror movie, Roku’s catalog entry provides a concrete starting point: Galaxy of Terror is identified, its premise is clear, and two ad-supported services are shown. The practical-effects setting and fear-driven pyramid make it a distinct pick for fans of vintage genre filmmaking, while the IMDb 5/10 display signals that expectations should be set for a cult-style experience rather than a broadly acclaimed modern blockbuster.
