In India, the Redmi Turbo 5 leads on listed battery capacity, charging speed, display resolution and front-camera resolution; the Galaxy M56 offers a slightly larger display and a stated long-term software-update commitment. Neither set of specifications proves which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in everyday use. The right choice depends on your priorities and the current price of the exact variant you plan to buy.
Galaxy M56 vs Redmi Turbo 5: key specifications
The manufacturer specifications show different strengths, rather than an outright winner. Samsung’s figures are for the Galaxy M56 5G, announced in India in April 2025; Xiaomi’s figures are for the Redmi Turbo 5 on its India-facing product page. Samsung’s product announcement, Samsung’s specifications page and Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo 5 page are the sources for the figures below.

Which phone has the better display?
The Galaxy M56 has the larger listed screen at 6.7 inches, compared with 6.59 inches for the Redmi Turbo 5. Xiaomi lists a 1.5K resolution; Samsung lists Full HD+ at 1080 × 2340. Both manufacturers specify refresh rates of up to 120Hz. That makes the choice a trade-off between a little more screen size on Samsung and a higher stated resolution on Redmi; the figures alone do not establish which display looks better to you.
#1 Best Overall
- 25W Samsung Super Fast Charger Included, 6.7" FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR10+, 1080x2340px, Fingerprint (under display, optical), IP67 dust and water resistance
- 256GB, 8GB, No SD Card Slot, Exynos 1580 (4nm), Octa-core, Xclipse 540 GPU, Android 15, up to 6 major Android upgrades, One UI 7

Battery and charging: Redmi has the higher listed numbers
Xiaomi lists a 7540mAh battery and 100W charging for the Redmi Turbo 5. Samsung lists a 5000mAh battery and 45W charging for the Galaxy M56, and says the 45W charger is sold separately. Xiaomi also lists 27W wired reverse charging.
Capacity and charging wattage are not real-world battery-life or charging-time tests. Usage, settings and other conditions affect results, so these specifications establish Redmi’s larger listed capacity and higher charging rating—not how many hours either phone will last. Check the Redmi retail package for your seller and region before buying accessories: Xiaomi’s product page says its package includes a 100W adapter and USB Type-C cable, along with a case, pre-applied screen protector, SIM tool and manual.

Software support and performance
Samsung announced six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy M56. Its product page cautions that update information reflects current plans and may change. Check Samsung’s current policy and the phone’s update status when buying, especially if long-term support is a deciding factor.
The processor listings are Exynos 1480 (4nm) for Samsung and Dimensity 8500 Ultra for Redmi. Those names alone are not a benchmark: the available sources do not establish comparative speed, sustained performance, heat or gaming results. Choose based on tested results for the workloads you care about, rather than assuming one processor is faster from its name or specification alone.

Price difference in India: compare live offers, not old launch prices
Samsung’s April 2025 announcement gave introductory prices of ₹24,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹27,999 for 8GB/256GB, each including a ₹3,000 instant bank discount. These are historical launch prices, not a current quote. A comparison page displayed ₹41,999 for the Redmi Turbo 5 on Amazon when accessed, but retailer listings and offers can change, and that figure does not establish a stable current price or a fair like-for-like gap.

Before deciding, compare both phones on the same date, at the same retailer, in the same condition and with the same RAM/storage configuration. Check whether the displayed total depends on a bank offer, exchange, or other eligibility requirement. Without that matched check, there is no reliable current price-difference verdict.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi Turbo 5 if its listed 7540mAh battery, 100W charging, 1.5K display or 20MP front camera best match your priorities—and its current price and local variant suit you.
- Consider the Galaxy M56 if you prefer its slightly larger screen or value Samsung’s announced Android-upgrade and security-update commitment.
- Compare both offers directly if price is the deciding factor. Match storage, RAM, retailer, condition and offer terms before treating one as cheaper.
The Redmi Turbo 5 is listed as launching in India in June 2026 by comparison sources; those sources disagree on the exact day. Samsung’s announcement confirms the Galaxy M56 launch in April 2025.
