The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G is the spec-led pick if you want a Super AMOLED screen, optical image stabilisation and a more versatile rear-camera array. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite 5G is more compelling on paper for a larger battery and a faster refresh rate. Neither set of specifications proves better real-world battery life, performance or photo quality, so the right choice depends on which features matter to you—and on the price of the exact storage variant you plan to buy.

Which phone has the better display?
The Galaxy M36 is the clearer choice if panel technology is your priority: Samsung specifies a Super AMOLED display. Gadgets 360 lists the OnePlus screen at 144 Hz, compared with up to 120 Hz for the M36. Refresh rate and panel technology describe different things; a higher refresh rate may make motion appear smoother, but it does not by itself establish which screen looks better overall. Both are listed as FHD+.

Which has the better battery?
The Nord CE 6 Lite has the larger stated capacity: 7,000 mAh versus the M36’s 5,000 mAh typical capacity. That makes OnePlus the capacity-first choice on paper, but capacity alone cannot tell you how long either phone lasts between charges. No comparable independent battery-life test is established here, so do not treat the 2,000 mAh difference as a measured runtime advantage.
How do the cameras compare?
Samsung specifies a three-camera rear setup: a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera. It also lists 4K recording at 30 fps and a 13 MP front camera. Gadgets 360 lists the OnePlus with 50 MP and 2 MP rear cameras and a 32 MP front camera. These specifications suggest different strengths—Samsung lists more rear-camera roles and OIS, while OnePlus lists a higher-resolution selfie camera—but megapixel counts and camera count do not establish which phone takes better photos. A matched camera test would be needed for that verdict.

Which is faster, and what about software support?
The listed processors are different: Samsung identifies the M36’s Exynos 1380, while Gadgets 360 lists the Nord CE 6 Lite with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex. Those names and core-clock figures are not a substitute for comparable benchmark or everyday-use testing, so the specifications do not establish a performance winner.

Samsung’s India specification page lists its M36 security-update period through 31 December 2031. OnePlus describes a claim of “up to 60 months of smooth performance” based on OnePlus Test Lab data; that is a company claim about system fluency, not a guarantee of identical performance for every user or a substitute for a stated security-update period.

Do both phones support a memory card?
Both are listed as supporting expansion up to 2 TB. Samsung specifies microSD support for the M36. OnePlus says the Nord CE 6 Lite memory card shares one of its two SIM slots, so using a card may mean giving up that slot for a second SIM. Check the exact phone configuration and card requirements before buying; a memory card is not stated to be included with either phone.

Samsung India listed the Galaxy M36 6 GB/128 GB variant from ₹21,999 on its purchase page checked 7 October 2026. Smartprix’s listing snapshot from the same date showed ₹21,999 for the M36 and ₹28,999 for the Nord CE 6 Lite. The available listing does not establish that those OnePlus and Samsung prices are for equivalent RAM/storage variants, sellers or discounts, so the ₹7,000 gap is not a reliable like-for-like price difference.

Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the Galaxy M36 if you value Samsung’s specified Super AMOLED panel, OIS on the main camera, an ultrawide camera, or the published security-update period through 31 December 2031.
- Consider the Nord CE 6 Lite if a 7,000 mAh listed battery capacity and a 144 Hz listed refresh rate matter more to you than the M36’s stated display and camera features. Its memory-card slot is shared with a SIM slot.
- Compare current prices carefully if cost is decisive: the available snapshots do not prove a same-variant, same-seller comparison.
These are feature-based recommendations, not a claim that either phone has been shown to last longer, run faster or take better photos in matched testing.
