The Samsung Galaxy M17 5G is the stronger fit if you want a sharper Super AMOLED screen and a listed ultra-wide rear camera; the Galaxy F70e 5G offers a faster-refreshing display, larger battery and IP54 rating. Neither is an across-the-board winner. The available figures also do not establish a reliable current price difference, so compare the same RAM and storage variant at checkout.

Which display is better for you?
Choose the M17 for resolution and panel type
The M17’s FHD+ Super AMOLED panel has a higher listed resolution than the F70e’s HD+ PLS LCD. That makes the M17 the more compelling specification choice if screen detail and an AMOLED panel matter most to you.

The F70e lists a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, compared with 90Hz for the M17. A higher listed refresh rate does not by itself guarantee better image quality or smoother behavior in every app; the phones also use different display technologies and resolutions.

How do the cameras compare?
The M17 lists three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro. The F70e lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera, with no OIS listed on Samsung’s page. For selfies, the M17 lists 13MP and the F70e 8MP.
On paper, the M17 offers more camera options, including an ultra-wide view and optical image stabilization on its main camera. Megapixel counts and camera-module lists do not establish which phone takes better photos; no comparative camera test is available here.

Battery, durability and portability
F70e: more listed battery capacity and an IP rating
The F70e’s typical capacity is 6,000mAh, against 5,000mAh typical for the M17. Samsung lists a 5,830mAh rated minimum for the F70e. Capacity alone does not determine day-to-day runtime, which varies with usage and network conditions. Samsung also makes battery-life and gaming-speed claims for the F70e in its launch announcement; those are manufacturer claims, not independent comparative measurements.
The F70e carries an IP54 rating. Samsung cautions that resistance can diminish over time and does not advise pool or beach use, so treat the rating as limited dust and splash resistance—not waterproofing. No IP rating was confirmed in the reviewed M17 product-page evidence.

M17: thinner and lighter
Samsung lists the M17 at 192g and 7.5mm thick; the F70e is listed at 199g and 8.2mm. The M17 is therefore thinner and lighter on the published dimensions, while the F70e is taller and slightly narrower.
Software support and performance
Samsung’s product pages list security-update periods through 30 September 2031 for the M17 and 31 January 2032 for the F70e. Samsung’s F70e launch announcement also promises six years of OS and security updates. The M17’s listed security endpoint does not establish a specific number of Android version upgrades.

Both phones have Samsung-listed octa-core clock speeds of 2.4GHz + 2GHz, but the F70e is identified as using MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and a third-party comparison identifies the M17 as Exynos 1330. Similar clock listings are not enough to call a speed winner; no robust independent performance test was assessed.

What is the price difference in India?
A dependable current price gap is not established. Samsung’s 9 February 2026 F70e launch announcement listed ₹12,499 for the 4GB+128GB variant after bank cashback and ₹13,999 for 6GB+128GB. It also mentioned an additional limited-period ₹500 launch offer. These are historical launch terms, not current quotes. The evidence here does not establish an official M17 launch price.

To compare today’s prices, check the same RAM and storage configuration for both phones and note the retailer, seller, date, and any bank or exchange conditions. The third-party comparison page showed separate retailer listings when accessed, but those listings can change and do not prove current stock or a like-for-like price.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy M17 5G if FHD+ resolution, Super AMOLED, a listed ultra-wide camera, OIS on the main camera, a higher-resolution selfie camera, or lower listed weight matter most.
- Choose the Galaxy F70e 5G if you prioritize a 120Hz maximum refresh-rate specification, greater typical battery capacity, an IP54 rating, or the later listed security-update endpoint.
- Compare the exact variants before buying. Both appear with 128GB storage, but RAM configurations vary; a price comparison is meaningful only when the configurations and offer conditions match.
The F70e page also lists USB-C, a 3.5mm stereo earjack, dual SIM and microSD expansion up to 2TB. Confirm the specific configuration and features on the listing for the unit you intend to buy.
