The vivo T5 5G leads on listed screen size, resolution, battery capacity and charging speed; the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G stands out for its explicitly stated 120Hz refresh rate, IP68 durability details and a published long-term software-update commitment. In India, a secondary listing puts the A37 ₹10,000 above the T5, but that snapshot is not a guaranteed offer or a like-for-like official price comparison.

Which phone has the better display?
The vivo listing gives the T5 a larger 6.83-inch panel and a higher stated resolution of 2800 × 1260. Samsung lists the A37 at 6.7 inches, FHD+ and up to 120Hz. That makes the comparison a trade-off: vivo publishes the larger, sharper panel, while Samsung explicitly documents the faster refresh rate. The cited vivo listing does not state a refresh rate, so it cannot support a direct refresh-rate comparison.

Which has the bigger battery and faster charging?
On stated capacity, the vivo T5’s 7,050mAh battery is larger than the 5,000mAh typical capacity listed for the Galaxy A37 in Samsung Korea’s domestic specifications. vivo also specifies 44W charging. The cited Samsung comparison material does not state the A37’s charging wattage. Capacity and charging figures alone do not establish real-world screen-on time or charging duration.

The Galaxy A37 has three listed rear cameras: a 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro, with a 12MP front camera. The vivo T5 lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, plus a 32MP front camera. Choose by the camera types you expect to use: Samsung lists a dedicated macro camera, while vivo lists more megapixels on the front camera. Durability and software support
Water and dust resistance
Samsung’s IP68 statement comes with specific lab conditions: up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Samsung also cautions that water resistance may diminish with wear. vivo advertises IP68 and IP69 along with military-grade durability, but its cited listing does not provide matching test conditions. The claims therefore cannot be treated as proof of equivalent performance.
Updates
Samsung’s global announcement specifies up to six generations of OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates, counted from the A37’s first global launch, for supported devices; timing can vary by market. vivo’s India listing names OriginOS 6.0 but does not state a T5 update duration. That absence on the listing is not proof that vivo has no support policy; it means the cited page does not offer the same duration for comparison.

Which should you buy?
- Choose the vivo T5 5G if the India-listed larger, higher-resolution screen, larger stated battery and 44W charging are your priorities, and its current price for your chosen configuration works for you.
- Choose the Galaxy A37 5G if you value a documented 120Hz display, Samsung’s detailed IP68 test conditions, or its stated multi-year update policy.
- Compare before checkout if camera quality, actual battery endurance, or a specific protection rating is decisive. The cited specifications do not provide equivalent controlled tests for those outcomes.
Check these details before ordering
- Confirm the exact model code and storage tier available in your country; listed configurations and pricing vary by market.
- Verify seller, warranty, network-band compatibility and the current checkout price rather than relying on a comparison-page snapshot.
- Check package contents for the exact listing. vivo India says its T5 box includes a charger, phone case and applied protective film; do not assume identical contents in other countries or from other sellers.
