Which phone has the better battery and charging?
The vivo T5x lists a 7,200 mAh battery, compared with 5,000 mAh for the Galaxy A36—a 2,200 mAh difference in rated capacity. That makes the T5x the stronger choice on paper if capacity is your priority, but it does not prove longer real-world battery life: usage, settings and other conditions affect runtime, and no comparable battery test was available.

How do their displays differ?
The A36 uses a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel, while the T5x has a slightly larger 6.76-inch LCD. Both are listed at 120 Hz. Choose based on the panel type and size you prefer: Samsung’s specification is the AMOLED screen, while vivo’s is the larger listed diagonal. No side-by-side display test was reviewed, so these specifications do not establish which looks better in use.
Which phone offers more camera flexibility?
Samsung lists three rear camera modules: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8 MP ultrawide and a 5 MP macro camera. vivo lists a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP bokeh/depth camera. Samsung explicitly promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A36. vivo’s product page describes the T5x as running OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, but does not give a directly comparable official support duration in the reviewed information. A secondary comparison source reports two years for the T5x; treat that as unconfirmed and ask vivo to verify the applicable support terms before purchase.
What do the IP ratings mean for everyday use?
vivo advertises IP68 and IP69+ for the T5x, while Samsung lists IP67 for the A36. The T5x therefore has the higher advertised ingress-protection ratings. These ratings are not a promise that a phone will survive every exposure, and they do not establish warranty coverage for liquid damage. Review each manufacturer’s conditions and warranty terms rather than relying on the rating alone.

There is no dependable single price gap in the available snapshots because they cover different retailers, variants and observation dates. On October 7, 2026, the vivo India Store showed ₹27,999 for the T5x 6 GB + 128 GB Cosmic Green variant, with a displayed MRP of ₹45,999. A comparison page separately surfaced ₹25,999 for the A36 at Flipkart and ₹27,689 for the T5x at Amazon; another surfaced ₹27,099 for the A36 at Amazon. Those figures are volatile snapshots, not a same-time, same-retailer comparison.
