Which Galaxy A phones have the stable update?
The currently reported stable wave covers five Galaxy A models. Samsung’s own firmware notice confirms the A57, while GSMArena reported stable releases for the A27, A37, A36 and A56 on 15 October 2026.

The A36 and A56 inclusion is therefore a release confirmation, not proof that all devices in those model families have already received an over-the-air notification. Samsung says update details can differ by model, country and network operator.
Why some owners are still waiting
Samsung began the broader One UI 9 rollout with the Galaxy S26 series on 16 September 2026 and said it would expand gradually to other Galaxy devices. A staged rollout lets Samsung release firmware by regional variant and carrier rather than switching every device on at once.

- Your phone may use a different regional or carrier software variant from the first market released.
- The rollout may be enabled in phases even within the same country.
- The A36 and A56 report did not publish country schedules or build numbers, so there is no reliable universal arrival date for either model.
- Not seeing the update on 15 October does not show that your phone is excluded.
What One UI 9 changes on these phones
More flexible quick-panel controls
Samsung’s A57 notice describes a redesigned quick panel with resizable brightness and volume sliders and a resizable media player. The sound-mode control can also be separated, allowing a layout that puts sound settings apart from other quick controls.
Device care, lock-down and the lock screen
One UI 9 adds a Warranty and care menu in Settings, a faster lock-down option and a redesigned lock-screen clock. The exact controls shown can vary by model and software variant.
Galaxy AI features are not identical everywhere
Samsung’s rollout announcement highlights enhanced Galaxy AI and names features such as My FanCam, Now Brief and Now Nudge. Samsung also states that feature availability depends on country, region, language, device model and the installed Android or One UI version. A phone receiving One UI 9 should not be assumed to receive every AI feature listed in the announcement.

How to check for One UI 9
- Connect the phone to Wi-Fi and charge it sufficiently, especially if the update is large.
- Open Settings, then select Software update.
- Tap Download and install. If the regional package is available, follow the on-screen installation instructions.
- After installation, open Settings > About phone > Software information to confirm the Android version, One UI version and build number.
- If no package appears, check again later rather than treating the absence of a notification as an exclusion. Rollout timing follows the phone’s model, country and carrier variant.
Owners should compare the displayed build with the model-specific information available for their region. A build intended for another country or carrier is not interchangeable simply because the model name is the same.

In its 25 March 2026 announcement for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, Samsung said those two models receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. “Up to” is important: it describes the maximum policy for those models, not a guarantee that every Galaxy A phone receives the same number of upgrades.

Samsung’s security page also refers broadly to support extensions of up to seven years for some Galaxy devices. That broad policy does not mean every A27, A36, A37, A56 or A57 receives seven years of support; the model-specific schedule remains the relevant reference.

What each owner should do now
Galaxy A36 and A56
Both models are included in the reported stable One UI 9 wave, but the report did not establish their exact builds or country-by-country schedule. Check Software update using the steps above and wait for the package assigned to your device variant.

The published A276KKSU3BZIF and A376NKSU3BZI6 builds were reported in South Korea first. Owners elsewhere should expect a phased expansion rather than an immediate worldwide release.
Galaxy A57 5G
The A57 has the clearest documentation: Samsung lists Android 17, One UI 9, build A576BXXU6BZIE, a 12 October 2026 release date and the 5 September 2026 security patch. Availability can still depend on the phone’s market and carrier.
Bottom line
Android 17-based One UI 9 is now a stable release for the Galaxy A27, A37, A36 and A56 in the reported rollout, with the A57 independently confirmed by Samsung. The absence of an update notification is usually a staging issue tied to region or carrier, not evidence that the model was left out.
