Which screen is better for detail?
The Galaxy A27 5G is the clearer specification-based pick if screen detail and panel type matter most. Its listed 1080 × 2340 Super AMOLED resolution is substantially higher than the Y31t’s 1608 × 720 LCD resolution. Both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120 Hz, so that figure alone does not distinguish them. These specifications do not substitute for a direct display test.

Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 7200 mAh typical-capacity battery and 44 W charging for the Y31t 5G; Samsung lists 5000 mAh typical capacity for the A27 5G. Those figures favor vivo on capacity and stated charging rate, but they do not establish how long either phone lasts in comparable day-to-day use. Samsung separately claims up to 23 hours of video playback; that manufacturer figure is not a controlled comparison with vivo’s phone.
Software support and operating system
Samsung states that the A27 5G is eligible for up to six OS upgrades and up to six years of security and maintenance releases. Samsung also says timing and availability may vary by model and market. vivo’s India specification page names Android 16 and OriginOS 6 for the Y31t 5G, but the cited specification does not state a comparable OS-upgrade or security-support duration.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy A27 5G if you prioritize a higher-resolution Super AMOLED display or value Samsung’s stated OS-upgrade and security-release commitment.
- Consider the vivo Y31t 5G if the listed larger battery and 44 W charging better fit your priorities, and its lower India listing price matters more than the A27’s screen and support terms.
- Do not decide from processor clock speeds or camera megapixels alone. Samsung’s cited official specifications do not identify the A27 chipset, and neither phone’s listed camera resolution is a comparative photo-quality result.
