Nothing’s announcement for select European markets lists the 8GB/128GB Phone (3a) Lite at £249 in the UK and €249 in euro-priced markets; the 8GB/256GB version is listed at £279 and €289 respectively. These are launch prices, not universal or current quotes. The cited material does not establish a Galaxy A26 price for the same markets and date, so it does not support a direct regional price comparison. Nothing’s launch announcement.
Which phone has the better display?
The Nothing has the larger stated diagonal at 6.77 inches, compared with 6.7 inches for the Galaxy A26. Both are FHD+ AMOLED screens with refresh rates up to 120Hz; Nothing describes its rate as adaptive. Those specifications do not settle brightness, color accuracy, outdoor readability or overall viewing quality, so they do not establish a visual winner.

How do the cameras compare?
Both phones list the same three rear-camera resolutions: 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro. Samsung specifically lists optical image stabilization (OIS) on the A26’s main camera; the cited Nothing announcement does not specify OIS. The A26’s front camera is listed at 13MP, while Nothing lists 16MP. These figures and feature descriptions do not establish which phone produces better photos or video.

Both manufacturers list a 5,000mAh battery. Samsung specifies 25W fast-charge support for the A26; Nothing lists 33W charging and 5W reverse wired charging for the Phone (3a) Lite. The charging rates are the published specifications; they do not establish charging time under every condition. Durability and water resistance
Samsung lists an IP67 rating for the A26, while Nothing lists IP54 for its phone. These ratings represent different tested levels of ingress protection; neither makes a phone indestructible, and an IP rating is not a recommendation to deliberately expose a device to water. For buyers who place weight on the published rating, the A26 has the higher one.
Software support and storage
Samsung promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A26 5G. Nothing states three major Android updates and six years of security patches for the Phone (3a) Lite. Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy A26 5G if the higher published ingress-protection rating or Samsung’s longer stated OS-upgrade commitment matters most to you.
- Consider the Phone (3a) Lite if you prefer its slightly larger stated display, 33W listed charging or product design.
- For either phone, compare the same storage version. The cited India launch prices cover 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB for both, but configurations and prices can differ by market and change over time.
There is no evidence here to name a universal value winner or to claim an advantage in real-world speed, camera quality or battery life. Base the decision on your current local price and which published features matter to you.
