The open Argentium-silver torc is designed to give your wrist a quiet haptic pulse when you have used selected phone apps continuously for too long—without displaying a notification, making a sound, blocking the app or keeping a usage history.
What Futurewave Arc is—and what it is not
Arc was revealed as a concept in September 2026 after 3D-printed form studies and steel and titanium prototypes. Futurewave has not announced a production date, launch date, price, preorder, retailer or other way to buy it. There is therefore no consumer Arc bracelet to order or independently test.

The idea is deliberately narrower than a smartwatch or digital-wellbeing dashboard. Futurewave describes the design as “Jewellery first, one gesture inside it, and nothing kept.” The bracelet is intended to intervene once, discreetly, and then get out of the way.

How the phone-down reminder would work
- Choose apps in a phone portal. The wearer selects a group of applications, such as social media, video or games.
- Set an uninterrupted-use limit. A threshold could be 30 minutes, although the concept is not limited to that example.
- Receive the first pulse. When continuous use crosses the limit, Arc sends a gentle tactile pulse through its metal structure into the wrist.
- Receive one follow-up pulse if needed. If the wearer keeps using the selected apps, Arc sends a second identical pulse.
- Start a fresh interval. After the second cue, the bracelet becomes quiet and begins a new interval rather than escalating or locking the phone.
Arc is not intended to block applications, force a break, show a screen-time total or provide a dashboard to inspect later. Its proposed interaction is a physical reminder that leaves the decision with the wearer.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Does Arc track screen time or show notifications?
Futurewave’s public description says: “Nothing is blocked. Nothing is shown. Nothing is tracked. The choice is yours.” Designboom’s report says the concept keeps no usage history and requires neither an account nor a subscription. Those are stated design goals, not independently verified results from a shipped device or a consumer trial.
The phone still has to determine when selected-app use crosses the user’s threshold and communicate that state to the bracelet. The concept materials do not establish which phone operating systems will be supported, how background activity will be classified, or whether the portal will be an app, browser interface or another form of control.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
The proposed electronics inside the torc
Futurewave’s architecture places the electronics inside the flowing bracelet shank so the object can remain a bracelet even if its technology eventually stops working. The listed components are design specifications for a concept, not evidence that a production unit has passed consumer testing.
| Element | Proposed role | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Piezoelectric element | Creates the tactile pulse felt through the metal | Included in the concept architecture; no published intensity or durability measurements |
| ONiO zero low-power controller | Runs the bracelet’s control logic while minimizing energy use | Named as the proposed microcontroller; no battery-life result is published |
| Bluetooth Low Energy | Communicates with the phone | Specified for the concept; phone-platform compatibility is not announced |
| Flexible circuit board | Routes electronics through the curved form | Part of the proposed construction; no production layout is available |
| Curved 25 mAh battery | Stores power in the torc’s curved profile | Capacity is stated; charging time, runtime and charging connector are not stated |
| Piezoelectric energy harvesting | Explores recovering energy from mechanical movement or vibration | Mentioned as part of the design; no harvested-energy or runtime claim is published |
Why the bracelet looks unlike a typical wearable
Arc uses an open torc: a continuous line with no clasp or hinge, a form associated with Iron Age European jewelry. Futurewave’s visual references include rib cages, wishbones, hydroids and chains of seed pods. The intended finished object would be shell-cast in Argentium silver.

That construction is central to the proposal rather than decoration added around a gadget. By hiding the technology in the shank, Futurewave aims for a single sculptural object instead of a screen on the wrist. The open shape may also make fitting and comfort important unresolved questions; the concept announcement does not provide sizes, weight, water resistance or guidance for adjusting the torc.
Availability, price and what you can verify now
As of October 16, 2026, no production or launch date has been announced. There is no announced retail channel, preorder, price, production quantity or public evidence of a user trial, measured reduction in screen time or completed consumer testing. Any page offering an “Arc” purchase, waitlist or subscription should not be treated as an official availability announcement unless Futurewave later verifies it through a first-party channel.

- [Quality Service] If you find any damage or other issues with the product upon receipt, please contact us immediately. We will handle it quickly
That status also means the 25 mAh figure, privacy behavior, haptic feel and battery performance remain proposed characteristics. They should not be read as specifications of a device that consumers can currently receive.
Who the concept is for
- People who want a cue rather than enforcement: Arc is designed to remind, not lock an app or impose a timer.
- People who dislike screens on wearables: The interaction is intended to be felt, with no bracelet display, light or sound.
- People concerned about data retention: The stated design goal is no usage history, account or subscription, although that has not been independently validated.
- People seeking a finished product today: Arc does not meet that need because it remains a concept with no announced route to purchase.
What remains unanswered
Futurewave has not published the details that would determine whether Arc works reliably in daily use: supported phone platforms, the exact app-detection method, behavior when the phone is locked or offline, charging procedure, expected runtime, water and impact resistance, sizing, final silver weight, accessibility options, repairability and price. No effectiveness study shows that two pulses reduce screen time.

Apply even pressure for a few seconds to allow the suction cup to adhere properly. To maintain the grip and prevent accidental falls, it's a good practice to periodically reapply pressure to the suction cup.
For now, Arc is best understood as a design proposal for a low-distraction digital-wellbeing cue: a silver torc that would notice a user-defined stretch of uninterrupted phone attention and answer with two quiet pulses, while leaving the phone—and the final choice—in the user’s hands.
