Does the FREESKY 4500W e-bike really have a 200-mile range?
The available FREESKY product information does not support a 200-mile claim for the Alaska Pro M-520. The manufacturer lists that 4500W model at 98–175 miles, while its comparison and combo pages associate 120–200 miles with a different, 4000W peak and 48V 60Ah configuration. The 200-mile figure appears to have been combined with the M-520’s motor and dual-battery description, though FREESKY’s pages do not establish why the figures differ.

What determines whether the advertised range is achievable?
The product page supplies a 98–175-mile range but does not tie those endpoints to a specified rider weight, route, speed, terrain, temperature, or assist setting. Without those conditions and a repeatable test, the number cannot predict how far a particular setup will travel. The separate 120–200-mile figure likewise should not be read as a result demonstrated under controlled conditions.

Battery capacity is a useful distinction between the two listed configurations: the M-520 page gives 48V 45Ah, while the other configuration is listed at 48V 60Ah. The larger stated capacity is paired with the longer listed range, but that comparison alone does not establish how much distance a rider will get in practice.

How should you interpret the speed and legal claims?
FREESKY advertises capability up to 40 MPH, but its product page also says: “All Freesky eBikes are limited to a maximum speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) by default, which complies with local e-bike regulations.” The same page’s default-speed statement does not establish the bike’s legal classification in every location, or what classification applies if a setting or configuration changes.

On the information available, the M-520 is not a substantiated 200-mile option: FREESKY lists it at up to 175 miles, and no independent, repeatable range test was established. If 200 miles is essential, confirm the exact model and battery configuration with the seller rather than relying on a listing or headline that combines the M-520’s 4500W rating with the other configuration’s 200-mile figure. Ask what riding conditions the stated range assumes and whether the answer applies to the exact bike being sold.
