No—not as a new-purchase offer. NVIDIA’s RTX 40-series bundle was a limited-time 2023 promotion for qualifying desktop graphics cards. Purchases had to be made by January 8, 2024, and codes had to be redeemed by February 22, 2024. It is not a standing benefit of buying an RTX 40 GPU in 2026.
What the RTX 40 promotion included
The historical bundle paired two separate promotional subscriptions:
| # | Preview | Product | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card | $794.37 | Buy on Amazon |
| 2 |
|
ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 5080 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition Graphics Card | $1,817.42 | Buy on Amazon |
| 3 |
|
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition Graphics Card (Renewed) | $1,899.99 | Buy on Amazon |
| Benefit | Promotional duration | What it provided |
|---|---|---|
| PC Game Pass | Three months | Access to eligible downloadable Windows PC games through Microsoft’s Xbox ecosystem. |
| GeForce NOW Priority | Three months | Cloud streaming for games supported by GeForce NOW, subject to the service’s availability and limits. |
The offer was a promotion attached to eligible hardware purchases, not free hardware or permanent access. Contemporary coverage described it as available through participating retailers; retailer and product eligibility mattered. Windows Central’s 2023 report said the deal targeted custom desktop builders and excluded laptops and prebuilt desktops.
Which graphics cards qualified, and when?
Windows Central reported that the 2023 promotion covered qualifying desktop versions of these models:
#1 Best Overall
- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
- GeForce RTX 4060
- GeForce RTX 4060 Ti
- GeForce RTX 4070
- GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
- GeForce RTX 4080
- GeForce RTX 4090
Those are historical eligibility details, not a current list. A laptop containing an RTX 40-series GPU, a prebuilt PC, or a card bought from a non-participating retailer should not be assumed to qualify. A manufacturer may have run a separate promotion for a complete system, with its own terms and redemption process.
- Purchase window ended: January 8, 2024.
- Final redemption deadline: February 22, 2024.
One promotional entitlement per person or account could apply under NVIDIA’s terms. If you already have an unused code, its own printed terms control; the expired purchase promotion does not make a code valid beyond its deadline.
PC Game Pass did not unlock every Game Pass game on GeForce NOW
PC Game Pass and GeForce NOW served different purposes. Game Pass let a subscriber download and play eligible PC games locally. GeForce NOW streamed supported games from NVIDIA’s servers. The Game Pass subscription alone did not make every title in Microsoft’s catalog streamable through GeForce NOW.
Cloud availability depends on NVIDIA supporting that particular game and the relevant storefront integration. You may need to link the Microsoft account holding the entitlement and choose the Microsoft Store or Xbox version of a supported title inside GeForce NOW. A title playable through the Xbox app locally may still be unavailable for streaming there; owning a version on Steam or another storefront does not necessarily grant access to a different storefront version.

- Military-grade components deliver rock-solid power and longer lifespan for ultimate durability. Compatibility: 348mm (13.7") length, 3.6 slots, 4.3 lbs. Confirm case clearance and slot spacing. GPU bracket included.
- Protective PCB coating helps protect against short circuits caused by moisture, dust, or debris
- 3.6-slot design with massive fin array optimized for airflow from three Axial-tech fans
- Phase-change GPU thermal pad helps ensure optimal thermal performance and longevity, outlasting traditional thermal paste for graphics cards under heavy loads
In a 2024 announcement, NVIDIA said more than 130 PC Game Pass titles could be streamed through GeForce NOW at that time. That was a dated catalog figure, not a current count or a promise that the entire catalog would be available. NVIDIA’s announcement also described GeForce NOW support across devices including browsers, Macs, Chromebooks, mobile devices, and selected TVs; actual compatibility and experience depend on device, network, region, and service availability.
The later 2024 NVIDIA reward was a different offer
NVIDIA later promoted PC Game Pass through GeForce Rewards. This was not the RTX 40 purchase bundle: it was accessed through NVIDIA software and was described as available to users with GeForce GTX 10-series or newer desktop and laptop GPUs. The 2024 U.S. page displayed a one-month reward, with a September 5, 2024 promotion end date and September 16 redemption deadline. NVIDIA regional pages described a three-month version beginning in June 2024, with different dates. These are regional or page-version differences, not evidence of a live offer in 2026.
The U.S. terms required a new Xbox Game Pass member and a valid payment method; recurring billing would begin at the then-current rate unless canceled. NVIDIA’s published redemption route was to sign in to an NVIDIA Account, open GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA app, select Redeem, and claim the reward while it was available. The published dates have passed. See NVIDIA’s U.S. reward terms, its NVIDIA App announcement, and the regional three-month reward page.
How to redeem a code you already have
- Sign in to the Microsoft account you intend to use for the subscription. Make sure it is the account that should own the entitlement.
- Enter the code at Microsoft’s official redemption page.
- Review the terms shown for that specific code, including its expiry, region, subscription duration, and whether it requires a new member. The 2024 GeForce Reward was for new Xbox Game Pass members; do not assume an existing subscriber can stack or extend a code.
- If Microsoft requests a valid payment method, check the renewal terms before confirming. Promotional subscriptions may convert to recurring paid billing after the included period.
- After activation, check Microsoft account subscription settings and turn off recurring billing if you do not want the subscription to renew. Keep the confirmation email or a screenshot showing the promotional end date.
Payment requirements and eligibility can vary by code and region. Read the terms displayed during redemption rather than relying on an old promotion description. Microsoft’s subscription terms are the reference for current subscription conditions.

If the offer is missing or the code is rejected
- The purchase was too late: a purchase after January 8, 2024 was outside the RTX 40 bundle’s reported purchase window.
- The code expired: the RTX 40 promotion’s redemption deadline was February 22, 2024. A code already redeemed or past its own deadline may not work.
- The retailer or product did not qualify: the historical deal depended on participating retailers and eligible desktop cards; laptops and prebuilts were reported as excluded.
- The account does not meet the code terms: the account may already have used a trial or subscription, or may not meet a new-member restriction. The exact code terms determine eligibility.
- You are signed into the wrong account: check the NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Xbox accounts involved. An entitlement redeemed or linked to another account may not appear where expected.
- The code came with a complete PC: contact the retailer or system manufacturer and check the invoice, order email, packaging, or device-bundle instructions. Device-specific offers can use a separate activation route.
For some manufacturer-bundled entitlements, Microsoft community guidance points users to Microsoft Store → Library → Included with device or the equivalent location in the Xbox app. That is not the universal redemption path for the NVIDIA RTX 40 graphics-card promotion. See the Microsoft community response for that device-bundle context.
Should you buy an RTX 40 card for this offer?
No. The bundle’s published deadlines passed in 2024, so do not include its value when deciding whether to buy an RTX 40 GPU in 2026. Make the hardware decision on its own merits: performance in your games, VRAM, ray tracing and DLSS needs, power supply requirements, price, warranty, and return policy. If a seller claims a current subscription is included, verify the current written terms, eligible product, region, and redemption deadline before purchasing.
What to use instead
If you want downloadable Windows games, check the current PC Game Pass offer from Xbox. If you want to stream supported games to another device, review GeForce NOW’s current plans and availability; network reliability and the supported-game catalog matter, and prices or plan limits can change. You can also check a retailer’s or PC maker’s own current bundle, but treat it as a separate promotion with its own device, regional, and expiry terms. NVIDIA’s NVIDIA app may show future rewards, but installing it does not restore an expired offer or guarantee a Game Pass reward.
