These are manufacturer-listed protocols and services, not a guarantee that every one is available in every region, app version or firmware release. In particular, the EU listing and the May 2026 review differ on the status of Qobuz Connect and Roon; verify current availability with Fosi before relying on either.
Maximum PCM rates also vary by input or protocol in the EU listing. They should not be collapsed into one headline maximum: the route carrying your music is what matters.

The Wi-Fi discrepancy is material: Fosi’s EU page and brochure publish different ceilings. Treat the exact Wi-Fi maximum as unresolved until the current manual, firmware details or a manufacturer clarification settles it. The listed format ceilings are product specifications, not evidence that one route will sound better than another.
What the review says about the app
In a May 2026 review, Pragmatic Audio disclosed that Fosi supplied its sample and described roughly two months of use across a desktop and a two-channel living-room system, with regular comparisons against the WiiM Ultra. The reviewer praised the connection options and hardware but said the Fosi app lacked room correction and parametric EQ at that time, calling the software less polished than the hardware.

The same review reported that Qobuz Connect and 10-band EQ were on Fosi’s roadmap, with a broader navigation redesign also planned. A roadmap is not proof that a feature shipped. Because the app and firmware can change, check the current release notes and app before treating the review’s May 2026 feature assessment as current. The reviewer considered the WiiM app more polished at the time; that is a dated, reviewer-specific comparison, not a current test of every alternative.

Fosi’s EU listing identifies an Amlogic A113X platform, AKM 4493SEQ DAC and OPA1612 op-amp, with a DC 12V/1.5A power supply. The listed dimensions are 17.3 × 17.3 × 4.7 cm (6.81 × 6.81 × 1.85 in). Fosi also publishes THD+N of ≤0.00018% and SNR of ≥120 dB on its product listing and brochure; the brochure additionally gives SINAD of ≥117 dB. These are manufacturer-published figures, not results from an identified independent laboratory or proof of audible superiority.

Published price references are time- and region-specific, not a universal current price: Fosi’s brochure gives a $259 MSRP, its Japan listing showed ¥39,990, and Pragmatic Audio reported $259.99 as typical retail in its May 2026 review.
