Your Season 3: Runners Sprites have not been removed in Fortnite Override. Epic says they remain in Sprite Garden in Chapter 7 Season 4, while a new generation of Sprites appears in Battle Royale. Look for your earlier collection in Sprite Garden rather than treating the seasonal change as a loss.
Where did your Season 3 Sprites go?
Epic’s Chapter 7 Season 4 support answer confirms that Sprites collected in Season 3: Runners continue into the new season. Epic says the old collection is in Sprite Garden, an island getaway where players can play with their Sprites, visit friends’ garden sanctuaries, and showcase their collection.

Epic’s August 20, 2026 Override announcement describes the same change: Season 3 Sprites stay in Sprite Garden. It does not provide a more specific menu path, so there is no documented sequence of buttons to follow. The important distinction is that the prior collection has a new seasonal destination; Epic does not describe it as deleted.
How Sprite Garden differs from Battle Royale
Override has two Sprite-related pieces of content, and they serve different purposes:
#1 Best Overall
- GILDED TROOPER: Board the Battle Bus and drop in with Fortnite Legendary Skull Trooper (Gilded)!
- FORTNITE: 6-inch action figure is inspired by the video game Fortnite
- ARTICULATED: Feature 28 points of articulation to win any Battle Royale
- ACCESSORIES: Comes equipped with Back Bling and Harvesting Tools
- BONUS CODE: Code for virtual item included: Mecha-jolly
| Content | What Epic says |
|---|---|
| Season 3: Runners Sprites | They remain in Sprite Garden, where players can play with and showcase their collection. |
| New generation of Sprites | They are added to Battle Royale for players to collect and master. |
That distinction is also reflected in Epic’s season announcement and its Chapter 7 Season 4 support page. Finding new Sprites in Battle Royale does not mean your earlier Sprites moved there.
If your collection still does not display
A collection that is absent from Sprite Garden is a separate display problem from the documented season change. Epic’s general visual-bug troubleshooting guidance recommends these steps; they are not Sprite-specific recovery instructions.
- Verify the Fortnite game files.
- On PC, clear the Epic Games Launcher cache.
- On PC, try a clean boot and disable background applications.
- Reinstall Fortnite if the problem continues.
If those steps do not resolve the display issue, Epic directs players to submit an in-game bug report. The support guidance does not promise that a report or reinstall will restore an account-specific collection, so report what you see rather than assuming the collection can be recovered through a particular fix.

Do not confuse collection display with the v42.20 visual fix
Epic’s v42.20 Fortnite Override: Battle Royale Update Notes list a fix for a different visual issue: other players’ Sprites could sometimes be seen through walls. That bug concerned seeing other players’ Sprites, not whether your own Season 3 collection appears in Sprite Garden.
Can you trade Sprites to get them back?
No. Epic Support says trading Sprites is not a supported in-game action and warns players to be wary of suspicious offers. If your collection does not show, use the in-game reporting route rather than trusting an offer to trade or restore Sprites.
