A report by EGamersWorld, attributing the information to dataminer HYPEX, says files in update 44.00—identified in the report as Chapter 8 Season 1—contained several test values. Epic has not officially announced the system, so players should treat the percentages and rules as unconfirmed.
What Fortnite’s reported XP booster test includes
EGamersWorld’s report of HYPEX’s datamine lists six test booster values. The report says the final numbers may change; they are not confirmed bonuses players can activate.

How the rumored boosters might work
According to the report, boosters may increase XP earned from matches and quests. Some could be limited by time or game mode, and one test boost reportedly applied only to Solo Builds. Those details describe alleged test behavior, not verified rules for the current game.
#1 Best Overall
- Works with Nintendo Switch 2. C button not available
- Bonus Fortnite virtual item included (Googly Glider)
- Wireless controller with Bluetooth 5.0 technology
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery: Up to 30 hours per charge*
- Two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons
Stacking rules are unconfirmed
The report says boosters of the same type would not stack, with the highest one applying, while different types would add together. Epic has not confirmed either rule, so players should not use them to calculate an expected XP gain.
How players might get them is unknown
The report does not establish an actual way to earn or claim these boosts. HYPEX reportedly speculated that Fortnite Crew, the Battle Pass, or quests could distribute them, but those are possibilities—not confirmed reward paths.

Is an XP bonus rumored for Fortnite Crew?
The report also describes possible Crew XP tiers of +5%, +10%, and +20%, reportedly tied to subscription tenure and active only while the subscription remains active. Epic’s official materials cited here do not confirm those tiers or a Crew-linked booster.
Fortnite Crew and the Battle Pass are real offerings, but their existence does not verify this rumor. Epic’s current Battle Pass page says the pass ends November 1, 2026, Eastern Time, costs 800 V-Bucks or is included with Fortnite Crew, and unlocks rewards by earning XP in Fortnite experiences. Those pass details are separate from the alleged booster system and may change.

What XP sources and bonuses Epic documents today
Epic’s Fortnite XP support page lists quests, match play, eligible Creative maps, and other in-game activities as XP sources. It also describes temporary Supercharged XP and periodic Double XP events. These are documented XP systems, but they do not confirm the newly reported boosters.
Epic Developer Community defines XP as experience points earned by playing Fortnite games, including through quests and other in-game accomplishments. That general definition does not establish how the rumored test values would apply.
What “not for everyone” means here
The headline’s “not for everyone” should be read as uncertainty about the reported test—not as a confirmed eligibility restriction. The leak report mentions possible time and mode limits, including a Solo Builds-only test boost, but Epic has not published who could use the system, whether it will launch, or whether it will be available to all players.
Quick Recap
- The +400% figure is a reported test value, not a live player bonus.
- Mode restrictions, duration, eligible XP sources, stacking, and ways to obtain boosts remain unconfirmed.
- The rumored Crew tiers are not confirmed by the official materials cited here.
