The quest chain’s reported reward is Sprite Dust and other Gizmos—not the Bastian Outfit. The Outfit and its Midnight Oath style are listed separately in the Chapter 7 Season 4 Override Battle Pass.

How to find and start Bastian’s quests
Published walkthroughs place Bastian at Stone Sanctum. Speak with him and choose the dialogue about using magic to counter Geno. The exact dialogue and quest availability are guide-reported rather than confirmed on Epic’s official pages.
To check what is currently active, launch a Fortnite experience, then select Quests from the lobby. Epic notes that quests vary between Fortnite experiences; the in-game tracker is the best reference for the current objectives and their order. Epic’s quest instructions describe this navigation.

Reported Bastian quest walkthrough
The guides published on September 17 describe a crystal-collection chain. They differ in how they count or present its stages, so follow the order shown in your own tracker rather than assuming every player sees identical steps.
- Talk to Bastian at Stone Sanctum. Start the chain using the dialogue about countering Geno with magic.
- Collect the crystal objectives. The guides describe objectives connected to an eliminated player, a crystal being analyzed near the sanctuary, a destroyed vehicle, a defeated boss or henchman, and the giant red tree at Golden Grove. Use each active quest marker and tracker prompt to identify which objective applies next.
- Ask Geralt about the Crystalkeeper. The walkthroughs place Geralt on the shore south of The Battlewoods, near a Pac-Man-shaped island. Ask him about the Crystalkeeper, then use the nearby focus interaction to reveal it.
- Strike the wooden target. The guides describe the revealed Crystalkeeper as a worm-like wooden target. Hit it repeatedly until the crystal appears, then collect the crystal.
- Return the crystals to Bastian. Go back to Stone Sanctum and select the “Give Crystals” interaction described in the walkthroughs.
- Check the lobby for the final instruction. Guides report that the chain points players to the Lobby Admin Panel and the code MagicIsReal. Current code availability and the exact reward are not verified by Epic.
What rewards do Bastian’s quests give?
Walkthroughs describe the quest-chain payout as Sprite Dust and other Gizmos, not Bastian’s Outfit or its Midnight Oath style. A third-party guide associates MagicIsReal with 5,000 Sprite Dust, but Epic’s sources do not confirm that amount. The same guide reports that some players see an unavailable-code message or receive a reward automatically, so do not count on a fixed amount or successful manual redemption.

How to get the Bastian Outfit and Midnight Oath style
Epic lists Bastian and the Midnight Oath style as cosmetics in the Chapter 7 Season 4 Override Battle Pass. These Battle Pass rewards unlock through XP earned in Fortnite experiences; the story quest guides do not identify the quest chain as the way to earn either cosmetic. Epic says the pass can be accessed through Fortnite Crew or purchased for 800 V-Bucks, and lists November 1, 2026, Eastern Time as its end date. Check the live Battle Pass page for current availability and terms: Fortnite Battle Pass.

What is confirmed—and what to verify in game
- Officially documented: Epic’s pages list Bastian and Midnight Oath in the Override Battle Pass, describe how to view quests, and give the Battle Pass end date and access options.
- Guide-reported: The Stone Sanctum start, crystal objectives, Geralt and Crystalkeeper sequence, return dialogue, and Lobby Admin Panel code come from published walkthroughs, not the Epic pages cited here.
- Not officially confirmed: The precise Sprite Dust amount linked to MagicIsReal and whether the code works for every player.
