Other vehicles use an older AT&T hotspot setup with a trial that ends after three months or 3GB, whichever comes first. Your vehicle’s offer depends on its model, trim, and VIN, so check Connected Services before assuming Wi-Fi is included or pricing applies to your Ford.
Ford Wi-Fi options are not all the same
Ford’s current Connectivity Package and the older AT&T-activated hotspot are separate service pathways. Their trial rules, subscription options, and eligibility differ.

How the older AT&T hotspot trial works
For the older setup described in Ford support, the no-charge trial starts when AT&T activates the hotspot and ends at three months or 3GB of data, whichever comes first. The 3GB limit is part of that documented trial; it should not be read as the data allowance for every Ford Wi-Fi plan. Ford hotspot setup support

AT&T advertises a separate Connected Car plan for eligible vehicles at $15 per month when paired with an eligible unlimited wireless plan. AT&T says it may temporarily slow speeds after 22GB when its network is busy. Eligibility and geographic terms apply, so this price is not a universal post-trial rate for Ford owners. - Add your vehicle to the Ford app or your Ford owner account.
- Open Connected Services and review the Wi-Fi or Connectivity Package offer, including any included period and its status.
- Check the plan choices and renewal or cancellation terms shown for your VIN before subscribing.
- If you have the older AT&T hotspot arrangement, confirm activation and post-trial eligibility with AT&T rather than assuming Ford’s Connectivity Package prices apply.
Model year and trim matter: Ford lists availability examples by model year but cautions that package availability varies. Even when a vehicle supports a hotspot, compatible network coverage is necessary and is not universal. Ford Connectivity Package

Ford’s support instructions for the corresponding interface give this path: select the vehicle image on the SYNC screen, choose Vehicle Hotspot, then switch the hotspot on. These steps apply to vehicles with that interface; labels and compatibility can differ by vehicle. Ford hotspot setup support
