Flipkart’s 13th Big Billion Days sale opens to all shoppers on October 9, 2026. Flipkart Plus, BLACK, and Flipkart credit card members are listed for early access from October 8. The company calls this its highest-ever seller participation, reporting more than 60% more transacting sellers than last year—but its October 6 announcement does not state the sale’s absolute seller count.

What does “record seller participation” mean?
Flipkart describes the edition as having its highest-ever number of participating sellers and says transacting sellers are up more than 60% year over year. It also says customers will have twice the new selection. These are company-reported comparisons; the announcement gives no absolute count of sellers participating in this sale. Its separate figures of 500 million registered customers and 1.4 million sellers describe Flipkart’s overall scale, not the sale’s seller roster.

Flipkart also says that introducing 0% commission across fashion price points brought 75% new sellers onto the platform ahead of the event. That is the company’s characterization of seller onboarding, not a breakdown of sale participants.

What the announcement does—and does not—confirm
The announcement establishes the sale schedule and gives Flipkart’s account of its seller, product, logistics, workforce, and technology plans. It does not provide item-level prices, named deals, card-offer terms, or a participating-seller total. Shoppers should check the listing and checkout details for the final price, seller, applicable eligibility, stock, and delivery options for their PIN code.
